From the minute we arrived , till the minute we left, perfection . We stayed 3 nights for a quick getaway from NYC. Loved everything about the SetAi. Room has all amenities you would ever need, all workers were very polite , helpful and did a great job. Even though tips are added into everything you do automatically ( which is the norm for south beach area) you still felt taken care of. We only ate at buffet for breakfast, and lunch by the pool. Fish tacos , burger, guacamole , all very good. This is a high end hotel , so prices reflect that , breakfast Buffett is $50 pp plus tax and tip for three people totaled $172 each day. Terrific selection of food, fruits and salads , eggs what ever way you like. Tip I booked And paid with Amex platinum card. You get early check in , room upgrade, $100.00 resort credit , plus every day the breakfAst buffet was complimentary . Plus guaranteed 5:00 pm check out! As soon as I can, I will be back at the Setai.
It's a confusing place. There's no doubt this is a beautiful and well-run hotel. Rooms are nice but not amazing. The Asian restaurant is excellent. But this is an eye-wateringly expensive place. The buffet breakfast is $50 a head. Think about it. I came away a bit unsatisfied because the whole experience is nice but at this price I expect to love it. It is a good hotel, but in the end there's no respite from the chaos and noise that goes on all around the hotel. If you really want South Beach that badly I guess this could be a good choice. But don't expect much value for money. Maybe that sums up Miami Beach more than it does The Setai.
About a week ago, I stayed at the Townhouse hotel at the opposite of the street. I spent quite some time, however, in The Setai. It is a beautiful, luxurious and esthetic hotel. I especially want to thank some people for their help, assistance or service : - Mr. Thomas Beuermann from the Front Desk - Roia, Robson, Laszlo and Bryan from the bar service Next time I would be in Miami Beach, I'll certainly go again
"Possibly the best hotel in the world"
The Setai combines beautifully appointed interiors, and amazing service. From the second my daughter and I arrived, we were treated as if we were the only guests there. It was like having a personal flock of fairy godmothers, eager to make our wishes come true. This is an elegant hotel. There were some bachelorette/bachelor parties-and some of the most beautiful and skimpily dressed people I've ever seen-but its not a hook-up/heavy drinking setting. It's not staid (no one can be stuffy in South Beach) but if you want the "party hearty" experience, this is not the place. Shout out for the Beach and Pool servers. They worked very hard, especially during the busy weekend. It was busy but still top-notch. I don't know how they did it, but in the face of crowds (possibly they were horde of models seeking refuge-seriously this was an incredibly gorgeous crowd. Even the children were central casting moppets) the beach did not feel loud or overrun. Do not miss the Setai Colada served in a coconut. Sigh The location is great, not that we wanted to leave the hotel. It is pricey, but not overpriced given the Setai experience. The worst thing I can say about The Setai hotel is that you have to leave.
"Amazing Zen Atmosphere - World Class Service"
Incredible experience with great solid cocktails and small plates in one of the most relaxing zen-like spaces. Fantastic service, attention to detail, a haven in the otherwise sometimes crazy south beach scene. The Setai is a winner and a great demonstration of a world class resort.
