"Good place to stay "
Hotell was good. Has everything you need and its near everything. Even if its middle of busy Manhattan, the street where the hotel is, seems very calm. And the people at the hotel where very nice and helpfull.
"Great hotel, perfect location & stunning city!"
Stayed at the shoreham for 5 nights, having read bad reviews we were a little worried. We arrived and where checked in immediately! By helpful staff. We stayed in room 516, looking on to the main road . Perfect! Room was clean and bathroom was a good size! Room was cleaned daily with fresh bedding & towels! .. This hotel is perfect for getting around 2mins from 5th avenue, 5/10 mins from central park, 15 mins from times square and subways near by to get to downtown manhatton & brooklyn. Perfect!! Would definitely stay here again! Looking to go back ! Would also recommended a brooklyn nets game at the barclays centre in brooklyn! Amazing! Subways near by for downtown & getting to pier 6 for helicopter tour. Amazing experience! Ignore the bad reviews on here. New York and this hotel are outstanding. If you want 6 star then pay for it . This hotel is perfect price in the perfect location. Will definitely be returning! :)
"Long weekend break "
I have just returned from a break in New York. Myself and my friend stayed at the Shoreham and we couldn't be more happier. We arrived in the early hours of the morning and was greeted by a lovely man called Dany. We were upgraded on our room much to our delight after a long flight. The suite was great, with a jaquzzi bath, terrace and massage chair. Christopher was on the desk and was very helpful there is nothing that he can't find out. There is no tea/coffee in the room but there is a room downstairs which is open in the morning that has these facilities. Steven in the bar is such a great guy, very friendly and would give us his local knowledge. I was happy with the overall of this hotel and definitely will be returning.
"Location over substance"
We picked this hotel for it's location more than anything. As we'd saved a bit on flights we opted for a queen room. At over $250 per night, it is expensive but not the most expensive. Near to the subway (5th av/53rd st) and central to where we wanted to be. The booking (through booking.com) promised bathrobes and a mini-bar. Neither of which we had, nor did we want to use them, it did mention it in the booking. We were on the 2nd floor (1st to those in UK/Europe). They had 4 lifts and plenty of facilities. We didn't bother with breakfast, you're in NYC, you can get anything form around the corner! The bed was very comfortable and the shower room was spacious.
"First time in New York"
Having never been to New York before didn't really know what to expect. On arrival check in was quick with a very friendly lady. The room was quiet a good size with bathroom. It could have done with a bit of an update but was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was one of the staff a gentleman who's name i didn't get (sadly) he was really friendly and helped us massively to find all the places we wanted to visit. The best thing about this hotel is the location. We were able to walk to all the best places, Time Square, Rockerfeller Centre and 5 minuets from Central Park. it was also very quiet once you we're in your room so we were able to get a good nights sleep. I would recommend this hotel and we will definitely use this hotel again when we return to New York. Thankyou for making our first visit very very special.
