"This is life"
A true dream. The place is paradise. The attention is superb. It is romantic, as a romantic place can be. Some of the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises on Earth. I highly recommend to use the bikes and to swim in the private aquarium.
"Movie-quality amazing! Pining to go back ever since we left."
This place was absolutely amazing and if anyone complains about this place, unless something out of the ordinary really traumatic happens, they must be spoiled beyond comprehension. We had a Deluxe mountain-facing over water bungalow and it was just divine! We didn't spend the extra money for the room with the little tub on the deck because it was not a hot tub, just the same temperature water that your bungalow is already staked over so we saw no point. We had a butler who per our request, took out all the mini bar contents and replaced them with only stuff we wanted and made reservations and other arrangements for us. The staff were all wonderfully helpful and friendly and did so-many thoughtful and beyond the call of duty things for us that I can't possibly note them all so it should suffice to say the service is world-class. Not a single complaint about the service the entire 10 days we were there. The bikes are necessary if you don't want to spend all day walking to and from your room IF you are far out on one of the pontoons. They are first come first served though and once people get them, they keep them all day and often ride them back to their rooms at night where they stay so if you don't get to the bike stand early enough in the morning, you may be out of luck all day. The staff do drive a golf cart around to the rooms at night and collect bikes people leave outside to keep them from getting rained on or rusty and so they can clean them for the next day and that is probably the only way they would ever get them back since everyone tries to keep them as theirs for the duration of their stay. Only way to keep the bike for sure is to bring it into your room overnight but that is kind of a jerk move because you are basically saying "screw you" to everyone else on the island who might reasonably want a turn on bikes their resort fees are also paying for. Fortunately, there are not a lot of other people on the island to have to bother with because for as much as people pretend to love their fellow man, we certainly pay a lot and go way our of our way to enjoy our favorite moments with as few of them around as possible. On that note, this place is so romantic and perfect for honeymoons or rekindling blah relationships that it confounds me that anyone would bring a distraction such as their kids here. When I was a kid, I liked going on vacations with my parents but I would have been just as happy at a warm resort in Orland so save your money on this trip and keep them at home or with grandparents. You are going to need the extra money anyway because unless you just want to sit in one place and not eat or drink anything your whole trip, you are looking at about $1000/day for food/bev & entertainment in addition to the $1000 - $3000 per night room stay. Plus, with everyone around wearing Tahitian pearls it is tempting to buy one/some for your self too. The restaurants on the property are great but every one of them whether they admit it or not is French fusion and there is dairy in almost everything. The food is very good but we were done with rich French food for months after this trip. On that note, we did the private cooking class with the head chef and restaurant manager at the Lagoon restaurant and it was AWESOME!! If you like gourmet food and want to take home a very unique experience definitely try this activity. We were told that it is not a popular activity and that just tells us too many people are missing out. We filleted fresh caught fish as part of the meal prep and gave some bits of fish that did not make the plate to the resident stingrays over the side deck of the restaurant out the back door of the kitchen. We got to play with European commercial kitchen appliances and learn some french chefery that was truly unique and enjoyable and then got to eat our creations with stellar glasses of well paired wine immediately after. The spa is also a must. We got a couples massage and then just sat around the spa afterwards enjoying the view. Heavenly! Everything was just Heavenly!
"Best Honeymoon Spot"
Best experience ever. This was a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Everything here was spectacular, from the sea-view from hotel room to the activities available, would definitely recommend visiting Bora Bora and staying at the St Regis.
"Just a day in paradise..."
We were only here for the day, as we were sailing the Paul Gauguin- we definitely wished we had longer to enjoy this place that is just the ultimate in Luxury. The amazing Clemence with the Sales & Marketing team was a kind and welcoming host who showed us around the resort. You really can't believe the beauty until you see it. Some parts of the lagoon didn't look real it was so stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Beach and the pool. Water sports, cold Hinanos and Lunch looking at that amazing view. All the staff we came in contact with was quite lovely. The Bungalows are some of the largest I've seen in FP. Very well appointed and views to match, really no matter where they are located. We loved the bikes that you can use around the property. I hope to return here for a longer stay the next time we are in FP. Thank you St Regis for an awesome experience!
"Horrendous dirty and poor Manangement"
Choose another resort. This is one of the most poorly run resorts we have ever visited. Too many children, and this after I called to confirm a quiet stay. General uncleanliness, unfriendly staff, we had a terrible Butler, we were so disappointed
