The St. Regis Singapore I haven't done this TripAdvisor before And this is my first time. I really want to share about my stay at the St. Regis Singapore and the Butler whom I met. Great things are meant to be shared. I'm from New York and I've visited Singapore many time for business and always stayed with the four season because my office is closer to the hotel. Since it was full house at the four season, was my first time staying at St. Regis Singapore, it was an okay hotel with an okay service. Till my last night at the hotel, I realised my inflammations medication ran out and I have a Long fight back home! I ring '0' to seek an advice, the person said; I'll send the butler to your room. I waited for the butler and the butler came, I told him about my problem and he want to go somewhere to get the medication in the night for me, me being me! I want to get the right medication, so I told him to tell be where I can get it. He said something about the 24hours pharmacy which I'm not sure, he said I can come with you so you'll not get lost! That was very kind and humble of him and that was a wow for me! We took a cab to the place and along the way, I finally remembered his name, Shahul. He was very kind and was talking to me and telling me about all the festivals in Singapore and the different race. We finally reached a place call Mustafa shopping mall, thanks to Shahul I got all my thing which I needed for my flight the next day. Shahul was helping to carry all my shopping. On the way back, I realised that I don't have enough cash for the cab, I felt so bad but Shahul was really nice and he paid for the cab back to the hotel. Shahul was sharing with me all about the St. Regis services and also about the history of the hotel which is 110 years old property which started in New York, I'm from New York and I don't know myself. And the owner died in Titanic! Wow! He also told me where is the best place to dine in New York which again I felt so bad in a good way that Shahul is a New Yorker than me! He also helped me with my packing. If you guys are planning to stay at the St. Regis Singapore, look for Butler Shahul. I'll be back for him for sure! Thank you Shahul and you made me wanna stay at the St. Regis New York. Once again thank you.
"Stayed at St.Regis was Great"
My family loves the room that we stayed. The Lady Astor Room and executive deluxe room is very comfortable to stay, the breakfast was delicious unfortunately we haven't get the chance to soak on the pool so definitely will comeback again here
We have been neighbors of the hotel for eight years and used to go there regularly for dinners and drinks. The Chinese and Japanese restaurants have always been mediocre, but the French restaurant "Brasserie les saveurs" was awesome as long as the two successive french chefs where at the helm. The Italian restaurant, "la Brezza", was decent, and the bar had good cocktails and friendly service. So much so that we became Supper Club members a few years ago. However, we made a few attempts at going to Les Saveurs after the departure of the last French chef and the experience went from bad to catastrophic, both food and service-wise, over the last couple of years. During our last visit, the sole I ordered came as a dry piece of overcooked, scorched flesh hiding suspicious bits and pieces underneath. Service is so clueless that one wonders how a so-called six-star hotel manages to hire such ignorant staff and fails so thorough to train them. During one of our visits a while ago, the waiter brought me a sole meunière with the comment: here is your fish curry, Sir... We then recently went to La Brezza, attracted by advertised Friday night grilled sea food dinner. The sea food on offer for grilling was: already boiled frozen lobster, farmed salmon and farmed sea bass, probably the most mediocre sea food items available anywhere. As the white wine we ordered was not available, the waiter, after 20 minutes, came back triumphantly to tell us that he had found an excellent replacement, handing us a bottle of... red wine. We then proceeded to the lobby's cocktail bar, sat at the bar counter and ordered two cocktails. After letting us wait ten minutes while he was preparing a bill for one of the waiters, the surely bar tender took our order, then disappeared only to resurface five minutes later with a piece of pomelo, which he promptly put down to prepare three more bills. We then decided to have our cocktail at home. The picture of this failing hotel would not be complete without a word about the consistently arrogant, unfriendly, unhelpful and noisy head doorman. So, we are saying: enough, never again, and have dumped our Supper Club member card in the bin.
"Hotel needs an uplift"
As a SPG platinum member, I am not impressed with this hotel. This hotel needs an uplift - please make the rooms, hallways, elevators modern. Follow what the Westin has done which is an outstanding hotel.
"One classic all time favourite hotel"
Ok, this is not a brand new hotel, but st.regis always know how to keep its classy to luxury kinda level... 1. love the high tea lounge , the one near lobby, hospitality was great, and classy as always 2. My suite room was nice indeed, classy and homey, wood colors mixed with luxury gold, touch of luxury 3. Love my bathroom, was great indeed, bathtub was beautiful yet elegant touch 4. Swimming pool was nice, nothing special, no infinity pool, but giving the touch of privacy itself, i'm kinda love it in my leasure lazy afternoon 5. Location was great too, basically, singapore isn't a big city, so everywhere is pretty much reachable , either by taxi or mrt , easy piece of cake 6. St.Regis Burger tastes sooo yummyyy !! One of their specialty for room service 7. Just check some of my pictures, love it
