"one of the best"
it was all fine, especially a perfect service, The Surin Phuket is our favorite venue for relaxing, wonderful beach, nice accommodation. Nevertheless daily breakfast was a excellent start in the day and dinner in the beach restaurant was also from high quality. It was our second stay here and we are sure coming again. "Boutique Beach Retreat"
Modern chic boutique beach hotel. The decor is not Thai Style if you fancy that you should be aware of that! We had a Two Bedroom Cottage a little secluded which was amazing ! At night we could hear the waves and through the luscious plantation we could see the sea. The beach was what you expect when you see all the beautiful pictures of Thailand and most of the time it does not reflect reality! At The Surin it is just the opposite the beach is stunning I loved it! No mass tourism. Service was great, breakfast was small but very nice. Thank you for taking so good care of us and my son! We will be back soon!
"Nicest beach in Phuket"
I've been to this hotel for many times since it was Chedi. All cottages are quite nice and spacious. The decor is typical resort style in Thailand which might interest foreigners. The staff are friendly and attentive. The breakfast is kinda boring. What I like about this hotel most is the beach, beach bar and the pool. I can say they got the nicest beach in town.
"The Pearl of Pansea"
Seated on a comfy armchair by the beach bar, feet in sand as it dipped towards the horizon as the waves rolled in was the daily ritual that encapsulated the essence of The Surin. We love Twinpalms (and still do). Their food and service is the benchmark. But we wanted to try somewhere new this time in light of the recent demolition of the attractions along Surin beach. We chose well in The Surin as it did not disappoint. My wife and 2 year old son were warmly welcomed and hosted for 7 fabulous nights at this stunning resort. We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom villa overlooking the pool which was the perfect spot and close to all the amenities. It is true there are a lot of stairs, particularly on the hillside villas, but there is never an easy road to paradise. Don't be deterred by the whingers. The Surin is stunning at first sight, elegant throughout, hospitable in its nature and spotlessly maintained. For us there were 2 elements that made us fall so easily in love with this resort; The beach and the staff. Pansea beach is nothing short of absolutely breathtaking. Accessible only to guests staying at The Surin or Amanpuri (owned by the same consortium). No hawkers, no hassles or the riff raff of far away Patong. Just crystal clear waters and exclusivity. Exactly what you pay for. If you think its expensive you're probably at the wrong resort. Exclusivity, privacy and mixing with likeminded travellers comes at a price, and we believe there are dearer resorts on the Island that don't match the serenity and beauty of Pansea beach. A short walk out of the resort you'll find a handful of restaurants, massage shops and neighbouring resorts for a little variety. Surin beach is a 4min walk but not as beautiful as Pansea beach. We rented a car for several days from Andaman rentals and found them to be well priced. We ventured out to eat at Twinpalms new eatery Palm Seafood just a few hundred metres away and also HQ at Kamala beach. Pricey but absolutely fabulous. Best eateries on island for us. The Surin staff are exactly what you hope for, receptive, happy and smiley and willing to make your stay an enjoyable. They were accommodating to our 2 year old and couldn't do enough for my pregnant wife to ensure her comfort at all times. Kwan was the best pool attendant I have ever encountered in all my travels. He replaced my water without asking because it was not cold enough in the searing heat , placed towels down for our son every morning and made sure every day by the pool was perfect. Thong & Gong the beach attendants took our son for walks to give us a break, entertained him, and always had a complimentary body board and fins ready for me during the afternoon swell. The staff are happy, accommodating and make all the difference. The gym is spotless and has ample equipment for a good workout. Breakfast was abundant with a good fresh variety daily. We must have eaten a tree of mangoes in our week long stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Thai BBQ put on by the resort. They have something going on most nights to keep gusts entertained. But it is a low key sanctuary with the spectacular pool/beach setting which is the heart and soul of the property. Relax, unwind and spend time with loved ones with likeminded travellers.. We met some wonderful people during our stay. We had a 10pm flight back to Sydney and they allowed us to checkout at 6pm. Who does that' These guys know a thing or 2 about hospitality. I might add that the room was not booked until the next day (no expectations - no disappointments). The only negatives we encountered during our stay were our bed which was not the most comfortable as mattress was nearing its end. And we found the food by the pool/beach and also room service (which we used frequently) to be uninspiring. Easily fixed but again not a deterrent. To really appreciate the natural beauty of the resort, swim out on the beach 50 - 100m and look back and appreciate the majesty that is The Surin - enchantingly spread across the hill. All in all, The Surin is our new favourite and when you decide to stay, it'll probably become yours too. Few resorts boast such a spectacular pool/beach setting as the Surin. It has won us over. Thank you to the management and staff. We will see you again soon no doubt for some Pansea pampering.
"A truly magical stay"
The Surin in Phuket is definitely the place to stay! We were recently there for four nights and from the moment we arrived until the day we departed, we could not have asked for a more enjoyable holiday. We booked two cottages right on the beach (cottages 104 + 105). The cottages were very well equipped, comfortable beds, lots of room inside and a very spacious bathroom with lovely toiletries. The breakfasts were very good, a wide selection of fresh fruit and a good choice of either hot or cold food. We spent a lot of time on the private beach which was clean and were told later that this beach is the best in Phuket! The swimming pool is large. We also ordered room service which arrived promptly and accurately. Thank you to all the staff at The Surin for making our stay such a memorable one. We will definitely return!
