"Great hotel in the centre of st petersburg"
The Taleon imperial hotel is a hotel in the centre of st Petersburg. It is just in the middle of everything so you can walk all over the place _ or take the metro nearby. The hotel is very well equipped with all facilities. The atmosphere is good and the staff is very well educated so they can help in all situations. Taleon imperial hotel is absolutely worth the money
Just go and stay there and find out how amazing this hotel is. Exceptional standard, location, service, faultless. Don't miss the breakfast and the Spa. The bar was a bit sad but we only discovered on the last morning that there is a separate hotel bar next door that looked very classy.
"Taleon restaurant one of the restaurants on Taleon Imperial hotel."
Tasty food, without diversification on menu. Good tomato soup and beef stroganoff, but you need to take care if you ask a fresh orange juice, it will be more expensive than a plate, they charged me 750 ru, and just for you to have an idea 1 salad season costs 570.....1 beef stroganoff just 900, what madness, that. Ray to charge you 750 for one fresh orange juice !'!'!'!'! In fact it is a shame....
"Interesting hotel "
We stayed 4 nights at the Taleon imperial on a group tour of Moscow and st Petersburg. The decor is very palatial rather over the top, I think less is more!!, but saying that the rooms are large and very well furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge with large bath, shower with a seat all was covered in marble. Though we did not eat in the restaurant I was told it was excellent. The breakfasts were fine, I felt it could have been better.
"Poor service and disappointing stay"
We (a party of 4) stayed her twice in the past 3 weeks. We were not offered rooms near each other on either occasion. We were charged twice for registration, but the second time not asked to complete a form. They lost one of our passports for a couple of hours. They allocated us rooms which: a) had no natural light b) you could not walk around the bed c) you could not adjust the heating but had to ask reception to do it for you. Breakfast was hopeless. Too many tables and staff who did not want to serve you and pushed you out of the way to do what they wanted. Removed your plate before you had a chance to finish your mouthful but to get more yoghurt my husband eventually went into the kitchen himself, where the staff were very helpful. Reception desk lady told me 'I am not room service' when I asked for milk, handed me the phone and made me speak to them. She also told me that she was not housekeeping when the requested kettle had not arrived after 3 hours (and we had asked the person previously on reception to organise that). This is a hotel which is a member of the Leading hotels of the World group - it is certainly not. Ate meal in Victoria Restaurant, again poor service. The hotel needs to be taken in hand by someone who can train the staff well. Even our Russuan Guide was appalled by their lack of civility to us. I have not stayed in such a poor hotel for a very long time.
