One of the best hotels I stayed in so far. Excellent rooms, fabulous ambience totally mesmerised me. Peacock restaurant is class, serving great food. Restaurant Deco was another great place to have food. Hotel layout is so big by the time I understood It was time to check out. I missed few shows. It offers everything you a looking for in Macau. It I have spare money anytime I would lone to revisit Hotel. Best was it's special food suitable for Indian vegetarians. A great place to make HOLIDAYS. ;♡♡
"Not Quite The Same..."
It seems very strange going to a Portuguese founded city now under Chinese control and staying in a replica of a Las Vegas hotel which in turn is modelled on a city in Italy. Amazingly, it all works out! The hotel and rooms are very similar to that in Las Vegas. The biggest difference though is the ambience of the hotel. Folks are here to seriously gamble. The vibe of energy and excitement you would find in the Las Vegas counterpart is missing here. Also missing are the numerous non-gambling entertainment options and bars you would find in the American counterpart. Finally, I found the food choices lacking in quality. With some many other big hotel choices available in Macau, the Venetian did not really stand out.
"Crazy crazy crazy"
It is such a fake replica of Venice that it becomes a place to see. you will find fake facades in venetian style, a replica of Ponte di Rialto and Campanule di San Marco, a small indoor channel with gondolas and fame painted sky, painted ceilings in Italian style a shopping mall and a huge big casino where hundreds of people are gambling and testing their fortune or losing unreasonable amount of money
"Rien ne va plus"
Over 25 million visitors a year and 6x more sales of casinos compared to Las Vegas that’s Macau. Unfortunately the former fisherman's village cannot meet this onslaught of visitors and I understand, because the infrastructures have not grown at the same pace. Arriving with the ferry from HK an unbelievable chaos, departure is even worse. It has taken us 40 minutes to wait for the hotel shuttle bus. Waiting outside under the sun for an 8 minutes Bus ride to the Hotel Venetian, an absolute no go. The story continues: after arriving at the lobby an endless queue, i.e. waiting time 45 minutes. The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel claims to have 3000 suites and 12,000 employees but I experienced no customer service at the check in. After successful managed the arrival problems followed by the endless check in procedures you’re sent on an odyssey to find your room. Language problems of staff did also not help any further. This in a hotel with slightly more than 3’000 rooms on 38 floors in different wings, without any hotel boy guiding you to the rooms. Finally arriving at the room great surprise, we were speechless: spacious, luxurious elegant and stylish top of the top. Unfortunately that was the only positive remark about our stay at this place. Ordering a continental breakfast at 9.00am would have taken 50 minutes!! I thankfully rejected this just another no go for a Resort Hotel like the Venetian. Consequently we tried the food hall on 3 floor to get a bite in the morning. Untied, messy and dirty. The tables are not cleared and full of plates and leftovers > disgusting. Finally we left this place without any breakfast and were happy to go back to HK. Of course it is worth to see this place once in a lifetime. I have seen it, that’s it .
