"One of the BEST of BEST"
We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel and its surroundings were absolutely stunning. The staff were first rate, so friendly and inviting. On arrival we were offered a iced drink and warm towel to freshen up. Our room was absolutely amazing with a garden terrace which was a fantastic surprise. The hotel couldn't do enough for you and we were completely spoilt. The hotel was so peaceful and quiet and the views just breath taking. The breakfast was lovely, with a wide selection and a delicious menu to choose from. Sitting by the pool it was a wonderful way to start the day. We had a meal in the hotel restaurant on our last night, whilst watching the sunset. The hotel reception was more than happy to book for us. We just wish we could have stayed longer - it was just perfect. Thank you to all the staff. Chara&Necho X
The Vijitt was by far the worst hotel we stayed in during our island hopping trip to Thailand. A very tired hotel definitely not worthy of its 5 star rating. We booked a three night stay and would of cancelled immediately if we could of had a refund. The resort is built on a hill, that in itself is not an issue but the steep stairs were very poorly lit at night with many bulbs out. The dining area needed a good clean. Dirty plates left long after guests had departed attracted a flock of sparrows. Seat cushions were dirty. Breakfast was average. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've tried to sleep on and the bathroom was very dark. The hotel is in a pretty location with great views but not a beach for swimming however there is a free shuttle bus taking you to a better beach. Staff are helpful and friendly but dining room staff spent more time giggling in corners than serving guests. On the whole a very disappointing stay and definitely not value for money.
We picked this resort as it had positive reviews for honeymooners which we were. We arrived in the evening and was greated by friendly and helpful staff especially Bow on front of house who couldn't do enough for us through out our 6 night stay. Our room was a deluxe villa number 16 which was really close to the pool and restaurant. We had a bottle of red wine complimentary and roses on the bed which was nice. Had to ask for a mosquito net for the bed this is a must as the room had a few in when we arrived. Outdoor shower was great and a big bath but couldn't open the windows as mosquitos were waiting to come in it felt. Beach is a tidal beach so if you are wanting to sunbath or white sand this is not for you. Was good to walk out and see the sea life especially the crabs and fish. No need to get up early and reserve a lounger which was great. Food and drinks were expensive in the resort not good. My advise go out to the 24hr supermarket outside of the resort go left it's a 10 minute walk. We bought water, beer and snacks for a fraction of the price. 2 bottles of 1 litre water in the resort £15. 80 pence (10 bhat) in the supermarket. Food outside the resort was good Leilas and restaurant right opposite was good. The resort should offer some kind of discuss for the spa for honeymooners would have been nice to have a couples massage or something. Overall great resort and friendly staff.
"Nice and chilled resort "
We stayed at the Vijitt for 4 nights in a deluxe villa and overall really liked resort! Positives: * Villas are amazing, really spacious, good air con and the best shower ever!!!! * Pool is excellent - no fight for sun loungers or people going out and reserving them which was refreshing! * Thai food was sooooooo delicious * Simple, not pressurised entertainment, if you want to get involved you can * Breakfast is absolutely amazing, loads of variety * The staff, particularly at dinner and around the pool are so so friendly and really helpful * The beach BBQ is the best burger we've ever had - DO IT! Negatives: * 1300 baht for a taxi to the air port is far too overpriced, would be cheaper out of the resort but as it is remote this is difficult to organise * Service charge is put on absolutely everything (10%). This includes if you pick up an ice cream out of the freezer which is a bit ridiculous. There is also 7% tax put on everything, so add 17% on to everything you buy * Cocktails are expensive! 250 baht for one but 6-7 is happy hour when they are half price which we made the most of! * Avoid western food, pizza was horrendous! * Spa was outrageously expensive - 500 baht for an hour long massage outside the resort, 2500 at least as a starting price inside * Cheapest bottle of red wine worked out at nearly £50!!!!!!! Overall the facilities, staff and villa were superb but you do feel like you are overpaying for everything apart from the villa...
"Lovely staff, beautiful well kept resort."
We recently stayed in The Vijjit at the beginning of November. The resort itself is pretty and very well kept! The villa was lovely and clean and it was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay. I would say the location and the staff make this hotel! The staff were all really approachable and smiley and could not do enough for you, which was lovely! The only thing I would say could do with improvement was the breakfast, sometimes the food was a bit cold and there was not a massive variety available! Other than that i cannot really fault this resort.
