"Just a little shy of perfect"
If you are looking for a beautiful resort away from the crazy night life of Patong then this could be for you. It delivers "relax" on every front. The gardens are amazing and if you don't feel like hiking up the hill then call 1 and a bugging will appear at your door to take you anywhere in the resort. If you can afford to pay a little extra get a pool villa which offers your very own private pool right at your door step. Enter your villa through the back and you may wonder why you have climb through the pool to open the door - crazy design. Food is generally good across the resort including room service, although after a week you may find the offerings become a little boring. The resort Spa is amazingly good but seriously over priced. If you are after a good massage get one in Patong for 200-300baht or just down the road (Soi Sai Yuan 1) for 300baht. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, although they didn't seem to understand that leaving the room door open while doing a turn down service is why the room was full of attack mozzie each night. Public restrooms are kept very clean but nothing to dry your hands on. This is easily forgotten with another 1/2 price cocktail during happy hour. Cheers
"A great hotel"
We had a great time at this hotel. Some visitors have written bad reviews but we couldn't fault our stay at The Vijitt. Our room had a good view of the sea. We loved the double bath and outside shower! The room/lodge was spacious and practical. I would recommend a mosquito net though. We took mosquito plug-ins as we read mosquitos were an issue in Thailand. We had no problems. The beach is tidal but we hired a local long boatman who visited for a private boat trip - which was great value and gave us our own private island for a few hours! The hotel compensate for the tidal beach with free shuttle buses to local beaches, the old Phuket town, shopping centre and Patong Beach (main shopping town). We enjoyed our free trips and the quiet location of the resort. No security issues and a private beach. Staff were very friendly especially Natty on reception and Bow at the restaurant. The hotel has free golf buggies to carry visitors around so the hillside location was no problem. We spent a good night in the local British run bar in Rawai beach called the White Hart. The local taxis were cheap. In all a great quiet location, with friendly staff and good service. Would visit again. Also we saw a couple of weddings at the hotel - the decorations looked fantastic, the location a perfect back drop for wedding photos.
"Great location for a short break"
Vijiit Resort, Phuket is a very attractive development of around 100 one and two bedroomed hotel villas, some of which offer stunning views over the Andaman Sea. My wife and I stayed there for 4 nights and in common with many other reviewers found all the staff extremely helpful and friendly. The villa was spacious, clean and well equipped and an outdoor shower was an added bonus. The shower area is entirely private, quite large and constructed from bamboo canes of sufficient height. A free shuttle service to local places of interest was also much appreciated. Other facilities on the development include a large infinity pool conveniently located close to both the restaurant and the beach. I would have been happy to give this hotel a 5* rating except for the fact that service in the restaurant was extremely slow on several occasions, the fan in the villa did not work (although to be fair the air conditioning was very effective). I also felt that the cost of drinks in the hotel was excessive, more than five times the cost of the same product in a nearby supermarket. Despite these relatively minor criticisms, this is a very quiet and relaxing place to spend a few days and I would recommend it.
We stayed at the vijitt in Feb this year from the 11 Feb to 15 Feb 2017. The stay was absolutely fabulous, the property itself gives u a very laid back feeling with their quaint well laid out luxurious cottages with beautiful furniture and fabulous gardens. This is a very very Thai 5 star hotel which makes u feel home away from home. The infinity pool is right by the beach which is fantastic, the beach itself is a haven for kite surfing which gives the whole area a very heavenly feel. The breakfast spread is quite a spread with every imaginable breakfast food available.the salad bar is fantastic with fresh salads and fruits and juices. Chris and his team are doing an amazing job they welcome you to the hotel in the most welcoming and warm way possible with lemon tea from their own herb garden . The hotel has an amazing list to to do activities all for free including Thai kick boxing classes, Pilates, rubber tapping etc to name a few. The free shuttle bus service to rawai beach, nai harn beach , promthep cape, patong beach , phuket town is a life saver. All in all a fantastic luxurious pampered stay at a fabulous resort will definitely do it again...Thanks a ton to Chris and his team God bless....Dr Charles and Dr Amitoj
