We were looking for a deal on the internet as our usual Philadelphia hotel was not up to snuff last month. This hotel was a great find under a hotwiredeal. The hotel is beautiful, clean, has every amenity you could possibly want and the staff is wonderful. They are courteous, efficient and lovely to speak with. The lobby is inviting and decorated in high style. We enjoyed the morning breakfast provided. Everything was fresh and delicious. In the evening there was a cocktail time with cheese, crackers, veggies and wine or beer. I LOVED our stay!.
"Nice hotel, staff needs retraining "
Hotel is historic, rooms are nice, my usual stay here each week. But the rudest front desk "lady" on the night of Thursday March 23rd around midnight. Only one person working there and is giving some of the loyalist customers attitude about arriving late and losing a key. She does not belong at this hotel.
"Nice Center City Option"
The Warwick of today is a totally different animal than the one I grew up visiting. It has been totally modernized, with a cool, sleek lobby. The staff was helpful and moved us quickly into our room. The first room we were given had a bad smell in the bathroom, but they cheerfully (and quickly) relocated us, sending up a bellman in just a few minutes to relocate our stuff. We were in for two nights, and it is really convenient to Rittenhouse Square and most of Center City. We walked to Chinatown one night, and from South Street one afternoon without much difficulty. The room was comfortable--clean, smelled nice, good HVAC (when we got cold), a decent sized bathroom with a good magnifying mirror and decent hot water, and a good-sized, conveniently placed flat screen TV with lots of channels. Safe in the room was fine, and the iron in the closet was plenty hot for my shirts. I visited the workout room, and can confirm it is very good.
"Great Hotel for the Flower Show"
This was a lovely hotel. We got a very large room on the 10th floor with views over the city. The front desk staff were helpful but we were a bit surprised that they could not change a $20 bill without going to another floor to get some change which took about 20 minutes. Steve the doorman was EXCELLENT and should get a raise!! He gave us some great tips on where to eat and was very very helpful, polite and courteous. We would definitely stay here again. A long walk the Philadelphia Flower Show on a cold March day but it was worth it.
"Best fitness center I've ever seen in a hotel"
Stayed here one night on someone else's dime. Lobby, with fireplaces, comfortable and elegant. Room & sleep clean, again comfortable, bathroom with modern fixtures and nice soaps/shampoos. Huge, well-equipped fitness center with plenty of machines...looks big enough to accommodate 2 dozen people at a time. Only concern: Slippery bathtub in our room. Step in and out carefully when taking a shower!
