"Do no stay here"
This hotel has recently renovated. So they say. But opted to stay with central heating. Which means there are no individual room temperature controls. They trick you with a temp control in the room. Does not have any function. Room temp is 77 degrees. Like it or not. Windows do not open It's a real nightmare. Go somewhere else.
"Park stay fly"
Nice quite hotel efficient transport to airport with lots of food outlets nearby beds very comfortable also great pillows.Undergoing some refurbishing on main lobby so access is via side looks like almost finished
"The cons outweighed the pros"
Traveled with my husband, who was in the city for business, and our infant son. Pros and cons to our three night stay. Pros: the rooms are quite comfortable and well decorated. We had everything we needed and loved the space. There's a very nice pool, that unfortunately we didn't find time to hop into for a swim. Room service food was delicious and delivered quickly. Location was wonderful. Cons: Currently under heavy renovations. Entrances you can see from Dixon road are not currently in use, you must drive around the back of the hotel to enter. The makeshift front desk/lobby is incredibly small, so with many people checking in, it was difficult to move. There's no restaurant or bar in the hotel at all. There was room service available, or you could leave the hotel. Would have loved to just go downstairs for a meal or glass of wine instead of leave the building. The main floor washrooms are in need of some repairs, hot water taps didn't work on most of the sinks. Shuttle service to the congress centre was extremely poor and always running late, which was upsetting for attendees of our conference, who were put behind schedule on many occasions. The hotel will probably be amazing once renovations are complete, but until they are, I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Lacking leadership, Toronto airport westin hotel. Ants were found in my bed earlier today. Absolutely No follow up from mgmt. @Westin #disgusted Not sure why, I have them my business card and asked. I was polite and wanted to deal with it properly. No willow up whatsoever
"DESPITE THE RENOVATIONS... "
Have always been a starwoods fan and as a member I was concerned after reading the horrid reviews posted over the past few Months. I was expecting the end of the world after having my luggage delayed into Toronto. My face was black on check in and yet the reception was warm and accommodative. Me and the wife were assigned a room on the SPG 11th floor. I must say that I was very impressed with the spacious size, cleanliness and pristine condition of the room. It was extremely quiet and the climate control was lovely. Breakfast was hosted in a makeshift room. $20 CAD / pax. Munir, their concierge knew that we were heading to the Falls and offered us tips and discounts for the boat rides. He even sent us to pick up our car rental. It was a pleasure coming back to our room after a full day tour of the Falls. On check out. You would be pleased to know they complete their renovations in November.
