"Excellent location, junior suite and service"
1) Location is excellent for walking to Freedom Park, Freedom Trail and downtown upscale shopping areas and eateries. 2) We had a junior suite on the higher floor with wall to wall windows offering breathtaking view of the city and the river. 3) Patrick of the front desk went extra miles to make sure our stay is wonderful. I booked the Westin Kids package which included some sort of welcome gift for the kids. The stay was in July. Patrick told me that the hotel was just starting the program and didn't have things set up yet for the Kids Package. Instead he offered to take the kids to the Hotel Shop and let them choose their own gift. Happy kids mean happy parents -- I really appreciate Patrick taking the time and effort to make things happen! Thank you Westin!
"Girls weekend in Boston"
We had an amazing weekend planned for SC when hurricane Mathew changed our plans. We quickly moved to Boston and the Westin did not disappoint. We were supposed to do a mixology class in SC and when the Westin heard this they quickly but us in touch with Amanda Dolyle and she created a private mixology class for us. It was professional, fun and everything we could have asked for. If you are going to Boston call Amanda and have here give you this class. It made our trip and we had the best time and drinks and food were awesome. Thank you Westin but special thanks to Amanda for saving our trip!!!!!!
Great location for business or leisure, steps away from public transportation, shopping, and many restaurants. As a repeat business traveler, I have had the pleasure of working with Jen Morotto - she goes FAR outside the realm of her job to make sure my colleagues and I are well taken care of ... from reservations to notarizations! I have a choice in where I stay and I choose the Westin as they try their best to make you feel right at home.
Stayed in the Westin Copley Place for a long weekend, Oct 13-17 2016. We got the subway from the airport into Copley Place. The hotel is in an excellent location, central to everything that Boston has to offer so we walked to most places, although the subway was handy when our feet were aching. The subway costs $2.75 one way and the bus to the airport costs $7.50 one way. Shopping malls adjoin the hotel via a walkway. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The bed was absolutely huge and one of the most heavenly beds I've ever slept in. We only had one comfy chair in the room though, apart from the desk chair. It would have been nice to have a small settee or two comfy chairs. I also needed a grab rail in the shower and there was no bath lotion. But I'm being picky. We booked the hotel via Hotwire, so we didn't know where we were staying, only the district and star rating. We did this because Boston is a very expensive place, we were quite shocked. But Hotwire saved us money and we were thrilled with where we ended up.
"Could easily have been 5 star"
Booked this for our last stop after touring New England and it was a last minute decision having decided $620 for the Intercontinental was one night was a bit steep. This was half the price and we were not expecting too much. It well exceeded expectations and the staff were really accommodating. We were put on the 26 floor with a harbour view despite not upgrading, so this was gratefully received. Loved the room itself, it was very spacious and had many extras which for some reason are disappearing from the high end hotels, like a well stocked coffee and tea machine, extra towels and a hairdryer with a nozzle! Haven't seen a nozzle in a US hotel for some years. The reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the pillows and the cases (3 out of 4) were significantly stained. In fairness I asked housekeeping to replace them and it was done immediately. Bedding had lost its whiteness and had that greyish look but this really was the only fault. Lobby area was inviting and restaurant food was great, the wait for a member of staff to approach your table is longer than it should be but I'm just writing an honest review. This is a great hotel to stay in whilst in Boston and we would go back. Room 2605 if possible!
