A truly 5 star hotel indeed. Very comfortable and a great location for easy transportation to various destinations. Hotel staff vert friendly and helpful with any questions or requirements that you may need. We had a great view from our room which made it all the better for our stay. We recommended this hotel. Perhaps a bit more expensive than some but as they say you get what you pay for. All in all a very nice stay.
"It's an experience"
First time I visited Westin Dragonara was on my honeymoon back in 2005. Throughout these years we've been back for our baby moon, valentine's day dinners, weekend breaks and more. Every time it is amazing. Food is awesome, service is perfect, rooms, atmosphere. I promise I am not overselling this place. Keep it up! Until next time.
"Excellent hotel- plus points for the staff"
I've spent 4 nights in the westen dragonara hotel in February , the hotel is beautifully set in front of the sea in st. Julian area,, very nice area to stay in Malta , where you will be surrounded by everything you need during your stay ; shops restaurants cafes , beauty salons and others. I took the hop in hop off bus for 2 days where it comes to pick you up directly from the hotel door. The public bus stop is within a short proximity as well. As to the property it self, the westen is very large and luxury hotel ,rooms are extremely large and comfortable. The dining room was big and the breakfast was very diversified . The best thing about the hotel was the staff who were very helpful, friendly and attentive trying to do their best to help with all the issues during your stay . Generally speaking the hotel is excellent if it wasn't for the fact that you have to pay for the wifi service which I found as extremely strange matter in such a luxury hotel.
"Not the nicest location for a family"
First Impression We are in St Julian for the first time and was definitely put off by the location of the hotel. Compared to Valletta which was quaint and historic, the hotel seems to be surrounding by bars and adults only clubs. Not somewhere I would bring a family. The hotel itself has a pleasant and large lounge area and the rooms facing the sea was very pleasant too. Parting Impression They seems to want you to pay for most things where you would have gotten free elsewhere. Example: ridiculously expensive internet access from the room! The only free wifi you get is in the lounge area. The kids club are also charged at hourly rate. Only nice thing was that we got free parking! Good for a passing stop over but nothing will capture you here.
"Amazing Hotel Amazing Staff"
Firstly my flight was delayed so that wasn;t a great start to my holiday, got to the Westin Dragonara and i was blown away, the beautiful setting and the luxurious features of the hotel just took my breathe away. On first entering the lobby area is very spacious, with many great features, even a water machine with lemon complimentary next to reception just made it a great plus when you are really needing a cold drink. Reception staff were really helpful and friendly when i asked numerous questions,so off to my room, wow wow wow my room over looked the beautiful blue sea, which i could see in the morning first thing, i was so impressed how clean and beautifully equipped the room was. All the bathroom amenities you could need complimentary again of course. As i was tired i decided to order room service, i spoke to a young girl named Shela, extremely pleasant, super friendly considering the time i ordered my food, she even suggested some desserts which i opted for the cheescake, food arrived brought by a lad named Dirk, very nice lad, again friendly considering the time. Food was amazing, well cooked and i do have to compliment them on that cheescake, i phoned room service again to take the tray and compliment them on the food and i again spoke to Miss Shela, and thanked her for her recommendation of dessert, she laughed and said your welcome sir have a lovely evening and if i can do anything else for you please contact me again, WHAT LOVELY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I then forgot my toothbrush and shaving items so i phoned again, i thought i might annoy her keep calling but no she was again super friendly, five minutes later the maid brought my items, again a really friendly lady named Maria i believe. Excellent efficent service by both i have to say. Next day i ordered breakfast in my room however the lady i spoke to i did not catch her name did not seem so friendly, i think i was expecting Miss Shela to answer, the other lady sounded a bit rushed if im honest, still friendly but not super friendly however my breakfast arrived with a gentleman named Vince again excellent service, a nice friendly man, breakfast again i could not fault it was so tasty and fresh. I had the most wonderful time at this hotel and i can honestly say i spend a lot of time visiting hotels for my job and this one is by far the best, food wise, value wise and most of all customer service wise, the people that looked after me are so friendly and deserve all my thanks. I also received a lovely bottle of wine on arrival. Next time i visit Malta i will definately stay at Westin Hotel as i felt extremely special, and i will be ordering the cheescake recommended by Miss Shila, i think i was quite taken with the young girl. All the best to all of the staff, it was a pleasure to stay with you and i hope the general manager knows what a great team he has. If i could rate this hotel more stars i would. Two more people i need to mention are Anja,a very pleasant lady who was helpful and the manager Frankcesco, a nice man who looked after myself on check in. Both a delight. Thank you everyone who made my stay so amazing.
