"Beautiful hotel on the Arno"
We loved this hotel and plan to return- beautiful lobby, room with balcony, rooftop bar with great view, exceptional concierges and wonderful staff. We loved the location as it was an easy walk along charming streets to the Duomo, Academia and Uffizzi, as well as countless restaurants and cafes. Why not give it 5 stars' We had a bathroom door that wouldn't shut and the bed linens were very scratchy.
"6 perfect days at Westin Excelsior Florence"
I am a SPG Platinum / Life Time Gold member, this is our second stay at Westin Excelsior, Florence, this time is even better than the last time when we visited 10 years ago. From the moment we walked into the hotel, we were welcome by several people, helping us with everything we need. Everything is to perfection...from the front desk personnel who checked us in and out and everything in between, to the people who made us our daily latte, to the people who clean our room, to the bell captain who helped us with our luggage, to the cook who made our daily omelette, to the great arrangement from the Concierge for private tours, to the majestic view of River Arno from our room, to the fantastic roof top bar, to the great location so close to the shopping and museums....definitely will be back again.
"Love the Westin Excelsior in Florence Italy"
We spent three nights in this beautiful hotel. Service is friendly and efficient. The hotel is completely renovated with all the modern conveniences but retains its historical perspective. Rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The lobby and common areas could be an art museum, very beautiful. The hotel sits right on the Arno and is a ten minute walk along charming streets full of stores and restaurants to the Duomo and other attractions. It is also a very short taxi ride from the train station. We are very impressed with the SPG hotels in Italy and highly recommend this one.
Service was impeccable, room with balcony and river view, the beauty and culture of Florence at your fingertips, can't wait to return. Central location, surrounded by great shopping, architecture and restaurants. The hotel was the Palazzo of Bonaparte's sister and the decor and lobby are both very nice. Westin property so the bed and linens are perfect
"Love the rooms"
Was pretty easy to find from train station. Lobby staff were very courteous. Emanuelle and stefano helped us settle in very nicely. Rooms are very spacious and decor classic with some modern touches. Not too overboard. Great place to stay. 10 minutes from the heart of Florence though but I like its location beside the river
