"Nice hotel, Rooms not up2date"
Nice hotel, however, rooms need to be refurbished hopefully in near future. Location is great for trips to Manhattan, just a view minutes walk to the train where you reach Manhatten within 12-15 minutes. The pool and the gym is nice.
"Over Priced | Over Rated"
I really actually came to stay at the Westin to flee for safety with my 2 children. My biggest disappointment was the staff. I asked a few questions in regards to how to order food, etc & she seemed like I was bothering her or something , my brother came to check on us and he also stated that the staff in his own words are "miserable". Lastly , the obvious is that they're so expensive.i act wasn't surprised that I paid what I did for the room rate , but the food was so crazy expensive!!! I ordered a burger w fries/ chocolate cake & chicken tenders meal for the kids and it came out to 80 dollars! Point is , there r nice rooms but for the prices staff should get behavior training & they should b more realistic with pricing on food!!
"Disappointing, given that Westin is my go-to choice in hotels"
My husband, daughter and I booked this hotel for several days during Christmas week, thinking that one room would be sufficient for three of us. The rooms are relatively cramped and the beds are true fulls (slightly wider than twins). We asked the manager's help in finding additional rooms, honoring our discounted rate or upgrading us. She was less than helpful, and after stating that she's a manager and there's nothing more she can do for us, we booked the rest of our stay at another hotel. Shockingly, just as we were leaving, she acknowledged that in fact she's not the manager and someone else was available to help us - but it was too late - we were booked and paid elsewhere. The hotel is large and clean, and has lots of amenities, but the staff leaves a lot to be desired. All the bells and whistles mean nothing, when no one can help with an issue, or worse, pretends to have authority. We will not be returning. There are many hotels in this area, some closer to the PATH. When booking your trip, consider those for convenience. The Westin isn't worth it.
"Great hotel, and great service"
We stayed here for a family wedding. The hotel was very nice and the prices were very reasonable. We also organized a brunch in the restaurant the morning after the wedding, and it was handled with excellence. The restaurant supervisor, Jennifer Sciortino, was especially great.
"Perfect All Around"
At first hesitant to book at this hotel as my objective was to see the Christmas lights in New York City. However, I was glad I stayed here as it was conveniently located near the Path Train Station, surrounded by great restaurants and a shopping mall. Excellent location, awesome view of the Freedom Tower, Ground Zero..so beautiful at night. The hotel itself was beautiful. The lobby was spacious, has good open space and has good lighting. The check in process was efficient, staff were friendly and welcoming. The room appointed was a good size with complete amenities. The bathroom... good size, clean with abundant supply of towels and amenities. I loved the bedding...so comfortable and gave me a good night sleep. I would like to commend the Housekeeping. It was thorough in cleaning the room, bathroom and fixing the beds. It was sparkling clean... Thank you! Overall, this hotel is perfect to book when visiting New York City. Location, service, scenic view, restaurants, shopping...was just perfect all around. I will definitely book at this hotel when I am back in New York City.
