What a delightful experience, great staff, accommodation, and service. Of particular mention is the executive club where we had great meals and coffee and snacks through the day. The club manager was excellent and resolved issues in a timely manner. Thanks for a great stay and will be back. Alan and Connie Fanton
"Not quite a 5 star"
Accommodation and service were great as you would expect. The location is very central although walking Bukit Bintang is a bit manic at the moment due to upgrade works. The two negatives were the uninspiring food at the seafood buffet (too long in the bain marie) and no bar open at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. We had time to kill between check out and pick up and wanted a final drink - we were very disappointed when we had to go offsite to get this!
After the company event finished, I continue with family vacation. We had our dinner at 5 Sen5es (Chinese Cuisine) with my family members. The food served in the 5 Sen5es was superb! The food is delicious and the staff very helpful as well. Would like to say thankyou for The restaurant staff, Edo was especially attentive and very helpful. Highly recomendeed!
"Went beyond expectation"
Our stay at Westin didn't start off too well. We definitely didn't feel welcomed. I've noted in our booking for an early check in at 1pm and received an acknowledgement email. When we arrived at 230-245pm the staff told me no such information was given. He told us to wait 15 minutes for the room to be ready. 30 minutes later we were still sitting unattended until when I went to the counter to ask and the room was actually ready. That killed all our excitement. The reason I was there was to spend the weekend with my bestfriend and we thought Westin would be ideal... We also brought a hard drive full of movies planning to just be couch potatoes and watch movies after movies only to find out that the tv is an old one hence we cannot plug in our hard drive. I called the service and asked if they could help. Immediate response was no. I asked if they could at least try. Response was ok and hung up. I understand they could be busy. Feeling defeated, I tried one last straw. I sent them a message via Facebook. Surprisingly they replied me within 15mins and about 1/2 hour later, a really nice staff came with back pack and all.. And set up a laptop connected to the tv so that we could still be couch potatoes and watch movies all day long... I'm really surprised with the extend they went and totally appreciate it. Thank you so much! That really made up for our bad start. The room was up to expectation... Good size, comfy, clean... Just the service can be a bit.... Meh' All in all we had a good weekend
"Pampering Comfort and Great Service!"
I stayed in The Westin Kuala Lumpur for one night in March as I was speaking at a conference at their venue. The room I got on the 28th floor was very comfortable and nicely stocked with amenities: toothbrushes, shaver, comb, etc. I got two single beds which were a good balance between firm and soft, but the abundance of poofy pillows just made the night's sleep so blissful! I'd used their bathtub before getting an in-room foot reflexology and their therapist Peth gave a really fantastic foot rub that just unwound me and relieved my aching feet further. Service staff at reception and the concierge were very friendly at check-in, information for local places to eat and getting a taxi to the airport. While The Westin is situated opposite a massive mall with many branded boutiques, a 10-minute brisk walk to me to Jalan Alor for a smorgasbord of local delights. However, the in-house restaurant at The Westin, The Living Room, serves up pretty good fare. I stuck to local dishes like nasi lemak and sambal udang and it was delicious! My stay at The Westin was for business but it was certainly very pleasurable.
