"Personalised attention galore"
the original hotel burnt down a few years ago and was rebuilt as the Westin, the manager (Smita), the chefs, the staff are always there to assist with all that you may need, not much thoug as the hotel caters for all your needs. well done guys n gals
"Luxury in paradise"
Absolutely beautiful hotel on the beach. Property is located about one hour drive from the airport. Very friendly & helpful staff. Nice executive lounge, big choice of restaurants, great food. Two swimming pools - one for families, second adults only. Apartment was amazing - 3 balcony with the spectacular ocean view!
"Rooms = Great/ Service bad"
We spend 4 nights and upon arrival at 18:00 were told our room is not ready yet. Roughly an hour and 3 enquiries later we were shown to our room. The room itself was great. However the service was really bad. On at least four occasions the waiter forgot our order. On the first night a group of us sat around talking. I asked a waiter to please bring us another table and he replied that it is too heavy. I got up and fetch the wooden table myself. Twice we could not get beach towels because they did not have any at the time. In fact on the last occasion we had to go back to our hotel room to dry with the towels from our bathroom as we could not wait for more than 30 minutes.

Well it saddens me to review this hotel so negatively, as i when i stayed there before, it was lovely and my 1st review of them will prove it. But this year tried to be in contact with the hotel to plan my birthday trip for February, and how hectic it was cant even believe it. In an era of modern world this hotel made me realized that they lagging behind and loosing a race that they should have been leading. They have communication issues, my mails were unanswered, even the one sent to GM / Management (Thanks for Ignoring, great management example) The reservation team is just out of this league, i felt i was talking Chinese while trying to book the hotel (i should not be explaining your team how to do their job) No one seems to care and get things right, from management to staff. I have been waiting for 2 call backs (Management was busy) which i never got (maybe they shall call me February 2018) Its high time for The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa Team to get yourself in the right track and stop living in we don't care for the customer world. Hope it improves, as i literally once liked this hotel and i will be more than happy to see that it gets back to its standards Well if you think you should bother knowing where i stayed as i could not stay with you, do not bother I went to stay at Lux Le Morne -
We stayed for four days recently and wish that we had stayed else where. Our first suite had no aircon and smelled very mouldy. Even though we were in the room by 1, it took until 10;30 that night to move us to another suite so we virtually lost an entire day as we waited around to see if the first room could be fixed. The second suite was larger but the hot water in the main bathroom was constantly not working so for the next three days we had the maintenance crew through our room. The food was very average and the general architecture of the hotel is very dark with the chalets very close together. There are many beautiful hotels in Mauritius but this isn't what we expected from a Westin even though we are Starwood Preferred Guests and have stayed in Westins all over the world.
