"My second visit and definetely will come back again"
Room: nice and super comfort bed, clean, great amenities, complete facilities in the room (from ironing board, sandals, umbrella, leaflets about activites offered in the hotel. Swimming pool: huge, clean, there are 2 separated swimming pools. One located near the beach, other one located near prego restaurant, Beach: located behind the swimming pool. You can directly swim after playing at the beach. Services: top notch and very helpful. A little minus point was the amenities and also the towels sometimes not complete (i stayed for 3d2n, on the second day, they did not replaced the towels).
"An Amazing 9 nights for first time family of 4"
We’ve recently returned from an AMAZING 9 nights at The Westin, Nusa Dua. It was our first visit to Bali (from South Australia) and pretty much everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The resort itself is immaculately maintained, as is the beach. All staff, whether it be grounds personnel/gardeners, housekeeping, kid’s club staff, pool supervisors or many of the various restaurant/pool bar staff were friendly and accommodating. The main pool was large enough that even during busy times, there was still plenty of room for everyone to swim. Our sons (aged 10 and 8) loved the waterslide and the waterfalls. And although we didn’t use it more than a couple of times, it was a great option to have the smaller saltwater pool in addition to the large freshwater options. We dined daily at Seasonal Tastes for breakfast but also dined at Prego, Velada, Ikan & Hamabe as well as ordering small meals and snacks from By the Water. Our daily trip to breakfast was a highlight. The staff were always happy and attentive and provided really personal service. Breakfast was such a busy time, but we never felt like we were just another guest and at no time felt rushed – quite the opposite. I have never experienced the variety of food that was offered at Seasonal Tastes. Everyone’s diets were taken into account and there was everything from traditional western breakfast options (bacon, eggs cooked to order, sausages etc) but also included a daily special, some of which were hamburgers (delicious), panini’s, taco’s & eggs benedict. There were also lots of Asian offerings too with sushi, several noodle dishes, soups etc. The pastry and bread section was extensive with danishes, donuts and several bread options including gluten free. My kids loved the crepe section – they could select from French toast, waffles or as they preferred have a crepe (or two) made fresh by the talented crepe chef. There were lots of filling/topping options too. There were juice dispensers at most sections as well as a designated smoothie fridge with tasty smoothies. Lastly there was also a section with delicious yoghurts, fruit, cereals & nuts. The breakfast really was amazing and kept the whole family full and not wanting anything to eat until late in the afternoon each day. The food at Prego was beautiful and authentic Italian, the menu provided lots of choice and the kids were taken care of with tasty kid’s options too. We were able to order several dishes to share amongst us. The food was beautiful. Prego is very kid friendly and although we didn’t make it, they have a regular family brunch on Sundays. Tapas at Velada were also super tasty. Although there were not many people in the restaurant on the night we dined, the wait staff were very attentive and there was even a great little mariachi band playing on the night. The band were welcoming of the children and even got my son up to shake a rice maraca along with them. Thanks also to the band for a little Aussie tribute with “Land Down Under” Ikan again was beautiful and such value for money. We had on a previous night visited Jimbaran Bay for a sunset seafood dinner, and left disappointed with not only lack of sunset viewing (too cloudy) but the seafood dinner was disappointing. Our dining experience at Ikan was the total opposite. We were seated on the deck overlooking the beautiful Westin beachfront and saw a perfect sunset with decorative lighting hanging from the trees and again a small band playing in the background for added atmosphere. The seafood buffet was extensive and freshly prepared. The Westin Chef’s had everything covered from charcoaled fresh seafood ranging from crayfish, prawns, fish & satays etc. Then onto beautifully steamed fish, a rage of self-serve bain-marie options like cauliflower gratin, seafood lasagne, freshly steamed vegetables etc. If this wasn’t enough there was also sushi, tempura seafood and a couple of other cold options which included seafood cocktails, fresh seafood (prawns, crab, crayfish) etc. The presentation of the buffet was immaculate with a large ice sculpture amongst the standouts. Included in the buffet for dessert was a large selection of beautiful cakes & dessert options like crème brulee, individual small cakes as well as large cakes where slices could be cut. The kids loved the chocolate fountain and the ice cream cart too. The Westin Chef’s should be commended for the quality and variety of food offered. Whilst we didn’t dine during normal opening hours at Hamabe we attended the family Shushi making class, held each Thursday. Again the staff were very attentive and we were provided with a special sushi recipe book, chef’s hat and apron and then seated with iced green tea. The chef’s had prepared each of us with our own sushi station, with all the ingredients we needed to make four different types of sushi (a total of approx. 20 pieces). We were given a step by step lesson in making sushi by Chef Sutama, and also had other Chef’s on hand to assist when needed. The class ran for approx. two hours from start to finish (depending on how long it takes to eat what you’ve made). We were also provided with some green tea ice cream once we’d eaten our sushi creations and each of us was presented with a Certificate of Excellence. I would definitely recommended this to other families with children. We utilised The Westin Family Kids Club for one full day session and two half days for both of our sons. The Kids Club had a very well planned timetable of fun and interesting activities for the children to participate in. The staff were welcoming and friendly and our boys loved the craft activities, nature walks and temple visit. The kids club also run a couple of night sessions from 7 till 9 to give parents chance to have a night out sans children – a great idea. Our sons were disappointed that they didn’t make it to Kids Club on our last day to say Thank you and Goodbye to the staff, so please pass on a big Thank you from Oliver and Darcy. We really can’t speak highly enough of our stay at The Westin. There are so many activities on offer throughout the day and they cater for everyone, whether it be runners, bike riders, gym users – it’s all there for you. The beach is immaculately maintained and very very clean. Nusa Dua, and The Westin specifically was the perfect place to come back to after a day out visiting some of the other regions of beautiful Bali. If you have a late flight you can also utilize the great lounge room. This is a large space fitted with couches and comfy chairs, TV’s, desks and also has a private pool separate from the main pool. There are fully maintained showers so you can, like we did, have a swim and a shower to freshen up (toiletries & towels provided) before your flight home. Another great initiative by The Wesitn. If we had to list a negative, the only thing for us would be that we probably should have booked one of the family suites or the two bedroom suites downstairs. It was difficult to get the kids to sleep each night when we were all sharing the same room (albeit with two double beds – which were super comfy). If you’re planning on visiting with children, then I’d definitely recommend one of The Westin’s family or two bedroom suites so that the adults don’t have to go to bed at the same time as the kids or sit in the dark until they are asleep . We also couldn’t get the fridge in our room very cold, but housekeeping were very good with replenishing our bottled water. I’d like to end on a good note though as our stay was 99% exceptional. The SPG program which The Westin are affiliated with is great ad worthwhile joining (membership is free). Although we didn’t have one of the SPG Preferred rooms, we were able to join the kids up for the SPG Kids Pass which meant for a reasonable fee, they were able to access unlimited food & drink as long as an accompanying adult was ordering a meal too. Great value! We hope to visit Bali again soon, and will definitely head back to The Westin. #nothingisbadatthewestin #amazingwestinbali
Excellent hotel with very beautiful beach front. A truly good environment for any type of holiday. The gardens were kept very clean and every morning I get to feed the squirrels right at my room doorstep. We had the ground floor room facing the gardens walkway. But the best part are the hotel staff. They were very friendly and attentive especially the in room dining service. They have a shuttle bus that goes to 3 shopping malls. The closest is Bali Collection. Had seafood dinner there but my advise is go eat the hotel theme Buffett every night which I think is excellent value for money. My only grouse was the price I have to pay for 2 packs of paracetamol! Hope to stay in Westin again to try out all their guest activities like yoga and bicycle tour. And I love their breakfast hamburgers! Delicious!
"Fantastic place to stay!"
Great hotel to spend your time in beautiful Island Bali! Fantastis service, clean, private beach, beautiful pool, georgeous SPA and many more... Do not search for other, we have spent unforgetable 4 weeks there.
"Love this hotel - a perfect destination for family holiday"
We loved every moment here: arrival, check in, hotel's ambience, huge breakfast spread, comfy bed, nice room, friendly staff, swimming pool, private beach and its family club, which is absolutely a plus! No comments on gym, sauna as we spent most of the time at the beach, but definitely will try the spa next time, specially mom and kid's spa package. We had a really relaxing holiday at Westin, our 5 year old daughter loved the Family Club. You can leave your kid(s) there and they are taken care of, even meal time, you can order food from the restaurant and they will serve there. Kids enjoy their time and parents have their own time. There are different programs for the whole week, just check it out so you can enjoy it. If you are a SPG member, check out the kids' program. There was one small thing, as a platinum member, we werent offered suit room until we asked for it and it took them quite some time to organise it. Overall it was a wonderful time for us and we definitely recommend it.
