We had a wonderful stay at The Westin resort & spa Cancun. The beds are very comfortable. The rooms are clean. The breakfast was not cheap but excellent. Concierge is very friendly and helpful.Comment of B. Patrick , Belgium the 2016-08-19

"Beautiful Beach and Pool"
Beautiful location, quiet beach, great pool with swim up bar. Good restaurants on site. Easy commute from airport. Easy to jump on a bus to go to other places on the peninsula. Staff friendly and professional.
"Spring break getaway"
I hesitate to write this review, as the Westin is preparing for a major renovation. However, we had a great visit and I would like to share our experience. As SPG members we were upgraded to the Royal Beach Club. The room was very large and the bathroom was spacious. The bed and bath linens were what you would expect from a Westin property. The beach was beautiful and very clean. We were never bothered by vendors. The staff at the hotel were excellent and very attentive. We ate at The Place, 2 for 1 happy hour, and thought the food was great. It was extremely windy during our stay and the wind from the balcony to the door of the room was very loud, hopefully they will remedy that with the renovation. We did agree to go hear the sales pitch for the sister property, Lagunamar. We went for the SPG points and the 20% of our meals. We were told to be ready to leave at 815 because the presentation started at 830, I assumed there would be a light breakfast, but there was not. Also, we were told we would have a guest pass for the day. Once we were on the bus, they told us transportation would be our responsibility if we didn't leave after the presentation. We did not being money, as we were counting on the day pass so we did not get to stay, a bit of bait and switch. I would definitely return to the Westin Resort and Spa, especially once they have completed their renovation
"Spring Break vacation "
My best friend and I stayed here 6 nights, the workers were friendly and awesome. Room up to par , great calm environment. Hotel food was average hotel food, room service was efficient. Best food is off of the resort. Other than being hungry on the resort our stay was amazing.
"Best Location in Cancun"
This was our 3rd visit to Cancun and the 1st to The Westin Regina. Our opion is that the property is located on the best piece of property in Cancun. The reason being, it has the lagoon on one side and a beautiful beach on the other. It's also less than 15 minutes from the airport. The buildings are a little out-dated, but we understand that in April '17 they will start a renovation. This will begin in the main building then move to the Royal Beach Club. We stayed in room 2309 in the RBC. 3rd floor balcony with view of the lagoon. Very spacious room and balcony. The room was very clean and in great condition. The a/c worked very well. We spent most of our days on the RBC beach under a palm leaf unbrella. Moises is an excellent beach attendent and was always available and very friendly. He was quick to bring out our drinks or lunch orders. Dinner in the Sea & Stones was very nice...service was good; food was good; great location! Dinner at the Arrecifes also was very nice...service was good; food was good; great location! Every employee we came in contact with was very kind and attentive. Stongly recommend this property. Just inquire about their renovation schedule. Can't wait to go back once the construction if finished.
"Worth Checking Out"
Hotel choices in Cancun are numerous to say the least, but this one is worth checking out for several reasons. The proximity to the airport and the Mayan Riviera is a plus. One can either head into town - Cancun - or head south to Playa del Carmen and other attractions. The public bus stops right in front of the hotel. For 10 pesos (.50 cents or so) you can go all the way to the city center. The bus goes all along the main boulevard stopping at popular sites. Renting a car is also affordable if people are interested. We paid less than $100 for 5 days unlimited mileage, taxes and insurance. The hotel offers complimentary ballet parking. Incredibly spacious rooms with super comfortable beds. The hotel is located between the beach and a lake so rooms have views of either which is good because no rooms are facing walls or interior courts. Both sides, the lake and the beach have lounging areas, the lake side include hammocks and it is quiet. The buffet is wonderful and they make sure to add a different dish or dishes every day. The pool has a bar in it and another bar in the area. The location of the restaurant is also great; right in front of the beach. There are a couple of fine dining restaurants in the property. If there is one draw I would say that due to the large size of the complex, some rooms can be too far from the pool and restaurant area, so please take note if you do not enjoy long walks. The service and staff are wonderful - we were very pleased. I love the spaciousness of the hallways and lobby. A great design by Mexico's architect Legorreta. The beauty shop and exercise room also top of the line. Highly recommended.
