"I love the suites with terraces (and hot tubs!) !"
Another wonderful stay at the Westin Valencia.... This hotel is simply beautiful... classic ambiance that suits both the location and Westin brand. A good combination of old world charm and modern conveniences, the room was nearly flawless. The large terrace with lounges and a hot tub is a spectacular place to relax after a day or night out enjoying the city. The front desk can be a little pressed to handle large groups but the staff are always professional, polite, efficient and composed. While located a bit of a hike from old town, the distance also means that hotel is quiet and offers restful nights in silence. The common areas of the hotel are equally as impressive, especially the courtyard with outdoor dining options. The underground car park is a bit tight with a larger vehicle but very clean and easy to access.
"Corridors and more..."
We made a good choice to stay here. The hotel is located in a very quiet but near-central position, from where the old city and most other tourist attractions can be easily walked to - or the metro is close-by if needed (for example, to take you to the port and beach area). Rooms and bathrooms were very spacious with all the facilities you'd expect. Ours was located towards the rear of the hotel which meant a lengthy corridor walk each time we needed to access the room - it's the one thing I most remember about our stay! Breakfast, bar and swimming pool were all excellent; we didn't try the restaurants but would expect them to be very good too. The best feature in my view was the central outside space which was large, well-planted with palms and the like and a great space for a drink or lunch (we did this) or for breakfast (unfortunately too cold for this). Valencia city did not appear to have too many hotels, and we saw none that appeared to offer anything similar to The Westin. So, if you can secure a room in your price range, I'd say go for it. Recommended.
Situated just over the Turia gardens from the Old City this hotel is well positioned for a quiet stay with good access to the rest of the City. Basic de luxe rooms are very spacious, with good wardrobe area leading to Bathroom and separate WC. Room is comfortable with sofa and armchair and usual desk etc, beds firm. Decor neutral but beginning to show wear. Rooms do seem to take a while to be serviced, having left at 10am we returned late afternoon to find the room still not done. There is nothing to hang on the door to indicate 'ready for Service'. Need more staff to complete work. Breakfast plentiful, with the usual offerings, fruit salad rather basic. Ask for espresso coffee as regular rather poor. Lovely staff. Did not use pool but gym and facilities apparently good. Nice courtyard garden with tables & chairs, needs more soft sitting places. If you are disturbed by people talking below your room very late at night as we were, the desk soon sorted them out! A few restaurants nearby or its over to the City.
"Little bit under the Westin's chain standard"
I spent my Easter holidays with my friend here. The room is nice and spacious. The ambient is nice and silent. The breakfast buffet is enough. People are friendly and warm as normal in this country. The only negative point is the cleanest. Walking in the rooms area across to the dinner/lunch/breakfast hours you can see the in-dining trolleys everywhere. This looks like something dirty. Not usual to see this in the Westin organization
