"If Only For A Day"
Being able to have someone valet our car was great. We needed it to drive upstate on Christmas day. The cost however is substantial. If you don't mind, there are places where you can park on the street, but they are far away and you would need to take taxi back or catch the train. On weekend and holidays there is more street parking available. Our check in took more time then I anticipated since we did not get there until about 9PM. But once all was said and done, the room was a good size. The gym is great and the roof top terrace - marvelous. There are many places to eat. The location is not far from attractions you would want to go to, but not too close that you're bombarded with tons of people. I would definitely stay here again.
"Safe and friendly "
My wife myself and her co worker stayed at this resort while they took care of business. I found this resort to be centrally located in midtown making it very easy access to the transit system. We were able to fine and use the subway with ease. I personally liked using Uber with combinations with the subway. The Resort itself is very clean. The personal was very friendly and most willing to give assistance. I love the elevator you push your floor number on the key pad on the outside and it already pushed on the inside of the elevator. We stayed in an Efficeny room. It was very clean and spacious to be in NYC. Bathroom was clean and my wife loved the tv in the bathroom. The shower took a little work to use. I feel that could be worked on. The only thing I did not like about our room was that I was not able to lower the temperature in the room. To me the room was always hot and a bit uncomfortable when we slept at night. That was the reason for the Four stars and not 5. Would I stay there again in a NY second I would. Rodney, Kims husband.
"Great location and facility for a NYC week or weekend"
We had a great view from our 32nd floor 2 BR suite. The Champagne reception and wine and cheese on the outdoor lounge was wonderful! Nice room, amenities and guest services. We enjoyed purchasing food at the nearby Amish Market and preparing our own breakfast in our kitchen.
We stayed here the weekend after Columbus Day and had a blast. Although they are still renovating some parts of the hotel, I had a one-bedroom suite. My girls were enthralled that they had a TV in the bathroom, that was my only peeve due to the placement. This was a great hotel that was centrally located near everything but far enough away to not be bothered to much by traffic. Although we did hear a street noise on the 20th floor, partly because we live in the suburbs and aren't use to it. The staff is super friendly and ready to assist with directions, restaurant recommendations, etc.
"Good location near UN and Midtown"
We stayed here in Dec to visit this great city at Christmas. Bucket list item! This hotel is a 15 minute walk from the E train that we took from JFK via Jamaica street station in Queens. (It's a few blocks from Esay bagels!) We had a 2 bedroom suite on the 25th floor. Gorgeous view of the Chrysler building and the Hotel Helmsley. The suite was on the small side.....it is NYC. A king bedroom has an attached bath, but NO closet, and only 2 small nightstand drawers. The queen bed has a closet and a small 2 drawer chest in the closet, with bath across the hall. There is a closet in the hall. The bathrooms have NO counter space and NO towel bars. That was disappointing. The unit was clean and comfy tho, and views were from every room. (we had a corner unit). We might stay here again, but like being closer the Central Park.
