Just spent the last night in this hotel and it is impressive to say the least but with the minimal room for improvement. The staff throughout the stay were friendly and seemed proud of where they worked. The Hotel is really impressive and the Rooms WOW !!! to combine both the modern with historical architecture is phenomenal and it works really well, due to the architecture the rooms are massive. The City is a Taxi ride away and this costs about £6 on average, and the cabbies are more like tour guides. We ate in the Hotel in the evening and the taste of the food and the presentation was in keeping with the standard of the hotel...excellent !! The cocktails are sublime and a vast array of choice, everything about this hotel oozed a classy establishment. The only downside was breakfast especially for what it costs, there was plenty of choice don't get me wrong, the cooked items were pretty cold sat on the servery and was disappointing as the remaining standard of the Hotel was second to none and you would expect breakfast to of been of the same standard. All in all a great place to stay for a treat, I would go back but need to save up again first.
Great weekend in this hotel with friends to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday and go to the Grand National. We were a group ten and were easily accommodated for breakfast and dinner. Even when we randomly ordered food in the bar, the food always made it to the right person. Superb gluten free options available at every meal and all staff knew what was available for my celiac daughter that made her ordering of food as easy as it was for the rest of us. At breakfast her gluten free sausages and GF bread was made to order and brought to our table with no fuss. The rooms were lush and indulgent. Could do with a few more lights as us old people need some bright lights, but at least we couldn't see our wrinkles! The area where the hotel has been built is still being regenerated and if the rest is built to this standard Liverpool is going to be the place to visit. The Council need to litter pick and sweep the pavements more effectively as the rubbish was dreadful on our walk to the hotel from town, most of our party went by taxi so didn't see the litter but 4 of us chose to walk via the Cavern Club to get the feel of Liverpool, great place but full of litter. If you do go to Liverpool this hotel is so worth the extra expense. Spotlessly clean, friendly guests, easy access to the race course and delicious food. We could not have been better looked after and very much hope to return.
"Phenomenal Birthday Treat for my Daughter!"
Firstly, let me begin by saying that if I could have awarded more than five stars for our experience then I would have done so without any compunction! I choose my hotels very carefully and this experience was no exception. It was for a one night stay to celebrate my Daughter's Birthday - so it had to be just perfect for both of us to celebrate whilst also meeting my exacting standards. The location of the Titanic Hotel suited us perfectly, a five minute taxi ride away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. The renovated building is just spectacular and the interior design, a mix of industrial, contemporary and historical is blended seamlessly. I had booked a room for Maundy Thursday and the day prior, I received an email from James Austin at the hotel enquiring whether I wanted a double bed or twin beds in the Superior Dockside room that I had booked. Customer service is extremely high on my list of priorities and I thought immediately that this was excellent customer service by James to make contact to ensure that arrangements were in order. When we arrived at the Titanic, we were greeted at Reception by Michael. Michael was the consummate professional, polite, friendly and service with a smile - a wonderful welcome and a great start to our stay. Michael was extremely efficient in checking us in and then he advised that a surprise had been arranged by James - our room had been upgraded to a Presidential Suite. To say that we were overwhelmed when we entered the suite would be an understatement! We even received a call from James whilst we were in the room to check that everything was to our satisfaction - another very impressive touch and exceptional focus on customer service. In order to extend our thanks to James on an even more personal level, I asked at Reception if I could meet him and this was duly arranged. Now for the suite - it literally took our breath away - the sheer size of the suite was phenomenal - a massive lounge/diner and a separate kitchen, a huge bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower cubicle and twin sinks, a huge bedroom, two window seats overlooking the docks and the Mersey, a second wc and a walk in wardrobe. The décor and furnishings were luxurious and high specification, beautifully designed in the contemporary/industrial style. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding high quality. The whole suite was immaculately clean and filled with every amenity that you could wish for - it was absolutely perfect! The whole interior of the building is beautifully designed and co-ordinated - the bar/dining area is fabulous and at breakfast we were greeted very warmly by a member of the breakfast team and allocated a window seat overlooking the dock. Breakfast was excellent with a really good choice to suit all tastes. The whole experience at The Titanic was exceptional - thank you to everyone that was instrumental in creating the perfect memory of my daughter's Birthday celebration. We were treated like royalty the moment that we stepped through the door! The customer service that we received was outstanding and I wholeheartedly recommend the Titanic - I shall definitely return next time I am in Liverpool.
"Came away rather angry"
I have stayed in this hotel about 5 or 6 times. If anyone asked me where is the best place to stay in Liverpool was, the titanic was always the first to roll off my tongue. I first stayed in the titanic hotel when it was still getting done up and some floors weren't open yet, and my experience was amazing. I stayed again there last night (21/4/17) and it was in no shape or form like the other experiences I had. To start with, the security/staff who were working at night 11:30pm/12, were rather aggressive and macho with myself. I thought it might have just been me, but when I returned to my girlfriend who was sitting over the other side from us, she asked me what was the problem with them, because she saw it herself. This got reiterated when one of them brought a drink over for us. I must say, there was an Irish lad who worked at the bar who was lovely. Also when trying to watch the tele, the television kept rebooting, we couldn't get hold of room service... there was a good few things that happened, that just made to stay very frustrating. Am not one to leave a review, but genuinely wasn't impressed and saw this as the only way to voice my frustration.
"Great location, good value and friendly staff."
