"Rooms are massive!"
I have stayed here for business a few times and I must say the rooms are the largest I have ever been in. The amenities are all of good quality and the staff are very friendly. Only a couple of minutes in a taxi to city centre. Place is great
"Quick review "
Spent the night as a birthday treat Very dark mood and deco Outside space should have Xmas lights PLEASE ! Over water would make it much more pretty Staff very nice Stayed for evening meal as wanted to experience the hotel rather than use as a base. Great food and wine average prices for nice experience Lights in the room equally as dark but large and spacious Got a taxi into center for £3.50 in the day Overall expensive but a nice treat ! If I was spending the night out in Liverpool I would not have found the price worth it as there are plenty of city center hotels nearer to nightlife
"My birthday trip away! "
Visited this hotel on Monday 28th November for 1 night for my birthday. We booked the package deal - 1 night bed & breakfast in a dockside view room, 3 course meal, use of the spa & 1 x 30 mins treatment per person - £125 each - which we thought was a really good price! I was so excited to visit as the hotel looked amazing online. We arrived at about 2:30pm and had a drink in the bar whilst waiting to check in (which was 'from' 3pm - to me this means at 3pm we should be able to check it, as per all other hotels I have ever stayed in) We went back to reception at 3pm to be told there was no room available for us. We waited until 3:25pm and nobody had gave us an update so I went back to reception and asked how long the room would take as our treatments were booked for 4pm in the spa. We were handed ours keys but weren't told when check out was or where the restaurant was. (I even asked at breakfast the next day what time check out was and the girl wasn't sure, so we looked online) Bedroom was massive, gorgeous views, great photos but we found that the bathroom had hairs and water on the floor and toilet and there was also food from room service left outside the opposite room from us arriving until about 11pm that - all little things that disappointed us. Spa was amazing. Can't fault it. Dinner time and we were given the menu - nobody explained that the deal just meant we had £50 to spend between 2 of us and anything above this we would be charged for. Not included in the deal was a burger - cheaper than some of the mains that were included in the deal. We were told that this had a surcharge even though it was a cheaper option. I have since spoken to the hotel about this and their reasoning still didn't make sense. We ordered bread to come with our starters but it arrived (on prompt) when we had nearly finished them. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice. I have spoken to the hotel but felt a review was also necessary.
Such a lovely place to stay. I am so looking forward to visiting again. We look a taxi to Albert Dock. Cost about £5. Breakfast was the nicest I have ever had. We got there around 9ish. If you leave it until around 9.30 you may have to queue. But it's really worth the wait. Check out is 11am which I don't think it states anywhere on the site but it's not a problem snd there is also a car park. Staff are so helpful and the door man is so helpful.
"Great hotel, just a little dark!"
Really nice hotel, a little out of the centre but with the benefit of free parking. We walked into the city centre, taking you past the docks (not the nice touristy docks but the derelict buildings and working docks). Not the nicest surrounding area but I guess that's why the hotel is reasonably priced. It took around 25 minutes walk. An uber back from the centre cost around £3.50 so reasonable enough. The overriding memory of our stay will be how dark the hotel was! I think the term is mood lighting but everywhere was dark! We gave breakfast a swerve at £18 each but that isn't uncommon, breakfast always seems to be overpriced at hotels now. That said our room was very spacious, modern and comfortable. We'd probably stay here again in the future.
