"Sophisticated, glamorous, great !"
Although the beach is not as wide as the typical brasilian beaches, it allows to practice water sports and swim. This is the lowest point of the hotel. EVERYTHING else is just perfect. Modern rooms, decoration with style, the enormous 3 swimming pools divided for children, adults only and families. Good variety of local and international food with great taste. Warm service at reception and all the employees.Walking distance to the center of Praia do Forte. Fun activities for everybody at all times. Beautiful landscapes during the day and enchanted illumination of the resort at night. My favorite: a high quality " Paraguayan hammock" in each room to end the day in complete peace of mind.
"Best Family Beach Resort"
We are on our third stay at the Tivoli, with the pool areas completely rebuilt with Asiatic luxury. The hotel is set in a spectacular natural reserve, with monkeys and iguanas mixing with the public, with a beautiful beach stretching for miles. Activities include sailing, kayak, banana boat, snorkeling, diving and just great swimming. The SPA is open air with lush tropical vegetation. Both breakfast and dinner are included in the Thai-style main restaurant featuring tasty local dishes and international cuisine. The rooms have been refurbished with a Zen look. The nearby village with its small restaurants, shops and live music is a must, with the turtle recovery project also worth a visit.
Could not be happier with our stay here. Cannot wait to go back. The resort itself is beautiful, staff very attentive and the quality of food is the best we have seen so far in Brazil. The best feature of the hotel is the beach! It's incredible! At sunset, they usually have live music events on the beach, which are quite nice. I also enjoyed the relative proximity to Salvador, which was a perfect day trip for when you need a break from the beach. You can book a tour at the hotel. It is a family resort first, and is popular with families of small children, so while we personally did not have any issues, if you are looking for a couples retreat this may not be it. Kids have access to all amenities (even the infinity pool which is supposedly adults only). Having said that, we were there during summer (Christmas) holidays, and there may not be too families during regular season. One thing I didn't care for was that it is a "meia pensão", in a sense that your lunch is an out of pocket expense, but you can either buy it at the hotel or walk/drive over to Praia do Forte for more options. I feel like at that price point it could have been an all inclusive. Also, mind the little monkeys at breakfast! They love to invade the restaurant and raid the buffet table:) it is quite cute actually and big hit with the little ones.
"A resort with spectacular structure and not so much spectacular service ..."
The hotel is in a prime location with a beautiful beach. It has high-end resort infrastructure but does not have public areas served with air conditioning. This sometimes bothers you because the heat in Bahia in January, for example, is unbearable. The food, which once made the fame of this resort, nowadays it is a lack of standardization. For example, order a simple sandwich for three days in a row and it will be served in three different ways. The prices charged for food and drink in the pool do not match the quality of what is served.
