"Comforts of home"
After traveling around Mumbai, Agra and Delhi for a week or so, it was delightful to end our journey at this hotel. This hotel is luxury at a reasonable price. The view over Nariman Point was very nice. The service was nothing short of fantastic. Concierge did everything to make sure we had everything we needed. The onsite restaurants had a variety of delicious options. The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk to shopping at Colaba. They also offer complimentary transportation via a Mini Cooper (sign up with concierge for availability) that will take you to your requested destination as long as it is within .5 km.
"Classic room with a view"
The rooms are a good size and the hotel location and view are brilliant. The service is the big stand out. Very professional and well trained with an ease about the atmosphere. I'd return. Buffet is huge and offers everything an international traveller would want.
"A hotel with all the comforts and unbeatable views of the Arabian sea !"
Me and my wife had a two day stay at this hotel in the 2nd week of January 2017. The stay was not planned and we decided on the spur of the moment to stay here. Upon our request we were provided a sea facing room on the 26th floor ! The checkin (and the checkout) were very smooth. The lobby area is very spacious with lots of seating available overlooking the marine drive. The elevator showed a total of 33 floors. Upon entering the room the first thing we did was to go to the window to catch the view. It was simply breath taking ! One gets a panoramic view of the Arabian sea from the vantage point this hotel occupies on Nariman point. The wide view covers the entire marine drive and the city skyline. The room though not very spacious was very comfortable. The linen and towels were clean and the room spic and span. It included the customary knick knacks - mini bar, office table with enough power points, an electronic safe to keep your valuables, LED TV, electric tea kettle, a well stocked complimentary fruit basket etc etc. The washroom included a bath tub and neatly organised basin area with ample stock of toiletries and towels of all sizes. Mind you the washroom has a transparent glass wall with the bedroom, but in vase it bothers you, it comes with a privacy screen which rolls down at the flick of a switch. The room windows also have a roll down curtain which is operated by a switch, in addition to the regular lace curtains that can be pulled towards to the edges of the walls according to your liking. A stay in the hotel without a walk on the marine drive is unthinkable. So early morning we went for a walk, feeling energised after seeing so many people jogging, exercising and brisk walking. Me and my wife did a brisk walk for about 3.5 kms before we returned to the hotel for a shower followed by a hearty breakfast. On one of the days we went out sightseeing to some of the closer locations. The buffet breakfast at their "India Jones" restaurant was a good experience. This included lots of variety in English as well as Indian categories including fruit juices. Upon our request we were served with fresh beetroot and apple juice. We had a sumptuous breakfast on both days. We also had two other good meals in the hotel. A buffet oriental dinner in "India Jones" and another buffet dinner in their "Frangipani" restaurant. The mexican room is on the pool level and we had our breakfast on the second morning while looking out of the window to the relaxing views of the pool and the view of the Arabian sea and the city skyline beyond. After finishing our breakfast we sat besides the pool soaking in the morning sun, which felt all the more soothing, because that night itself Mumbai had its coldest night in the last six years (12.5 degree celsius) ! Lots of celebrities come to this hotel. The Indain and English cricket teams were staying in the same hotel and we got a chance to see them from very close quarters while the teams entered the hotel. While Dhoni was guarded by security, Nehra and Yuvraj singh signed autographs for their fans who asked for the same. The entire hotel area is maintained immaculately clean. The common washrooms at all levels smelled very fresh and were very clean. The colour scheme inside the property is soothing. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay for two days.
