"Seriously overpriced for the quality"
Stayed here one night to check it out. What a letdown. The staff wer fine, they greet you and are polite, but these days that's pretty much par for the course. The room was clean and comfortable, but certainly not worth we I paid. High on glitz if you like shiny stuff. The views of the river were okay, but not worthy of the ecstatic reviews I read before I booked. I later stayed just across the river for a lot less let money at the Hilton London House and the views were essentially the same for $100 less. All I can tell you is they are selling the image not the product. And frankly I can't help wondering if the hotel is writing some of its own reviews. If you don't mind overpaying for what you get, this place is fine. I won't be coming back.
"Excellent room designs, spacious and GREAT restaurant"
Love the design, quietness and cleanliness of hotel. Excellent amenities in the room. We were staying at Spa room with beautiful smell. Love the presentation of four bottles of water come from different countries!
"Huge Rooms and Dynamite Spa"
I come here for two reasons: the room sizes and the Spa. Every couple of months I treat myself to a night's stay and a massage. I've done them all- Langham, Park, 4 Seasons, Ritz, etc. Trump Tower has the nicest rooms by a mile. I've made the mistake of venturing off to try the others and regretted it every time. I've booked the simple Superior Room (@ 600 sq ft, probably a minimum junior suite by most hotels) up to the huge 1600 sq ft suite. The other 5 * hotels can't touch the rooms at Trump. This time around, I opted for the corner Executive Spa room, assigned #1435. Oddly, bathrooms are important to me too. I specifically look for "deep soak tub." If you're also a tub nut, book a spa room. With those, you get the EXTRA deep soak tub. I swear I could swim in the darn thing! It was fabulous. As were the extra little perks included with the room: a closet heater with heated eye and neck pillows, yoga videos & workout gear, and special Spa at Trump bath products- facial scrub and bath salts. Though, I was slightly disappointed when I thought the Spa facial bar oils would also be in it (a hotel picture showed the set of bottles next to the bathtub). No biggie though. Just had to hit up the locker room area to grab some. If you have time, book a massage. I used to be a "female-only" kind of gal because the idea of a man other than my husband massaging me sort of made me cringe. My first visit, though, all they had available was a male so I went for it. I've never looked back. I've had 2 different male therapists (I think Pete is my usual) and both of them blew the girls out of the water (girls at other spas, not Trump). Book with a dude! You won't regret it! Even if you don't book an appointment at the spa, take time to check out the locker room. The facial bar is super fun. There's 4 types of oils, lotion, sugar scrub, and mask. Purify smells amazing! They also have hair dryers, curling irons, flat irons, and pretty much any bath item available if you forgot them at home or don't feel like lugging them (Q tips, tampons, makeup remover, nail files, combs, hair spray, etc). Actually, my husband is fascinated with the Q-tips haha. The steam room is awesome! I also use the sauna and the rain showers from time to time. Unfortunately, I've never gotten to use the special 360 shower. That's probably my biggest complaint. Been there several times and each time it was out of order. I think curiosity of what it does kills me worse than not being able to use it.
"Horribly run hotel with rude staff"
I will never return to this hotel! The room was beautiful but your front desk staff and manager were incompetent and utterly RUDE!!! The room was not ready at 3:30(check in time is 3:00) and I was first told it would be 1-1.5 hours before it would be ready, and the lobby was full of guests who were also waiting for their rooms to be ready! No one was even tending the check in desk when we walked in at 3:30! Then the manager scolded me for getting frustrated, and never apologized for the room not being ready or for her rude behavior! I was completely appalled by the apathy of all of the employees, the only apology I received was a letter hours later offering me a free upgrade for my next stay - I can assure you I will never return to this hotel! Also there were greasy footprints all over the window and smeared handprints all over the mirrors. Don't waste your time - stay at the Peninsula or the Ritz where guests are treated with respect.
"Exceeded expectations at every turn"
My wife and I had visited the tower many times for cocktails and events prior to staying this past weekend. Needless to say the overall experience exceeded my already high expectations of the property. The attention to detail in the room, promptness of service and small touches made the experience even more fabulous. I have never stayed in a more well kept and luxurious property.
