"Luxurious Rooms With Fantastic View"
I have stayed at the Trump Soho several times and simply love the location and the rooms. The rooms are some of the largest I have stayed in while visiting NYC and I have always had fantastic view of either Fifth Avenue and/or the Hudson. The bathrooms are immense and the beds sumptuous and incredibly comfortable. The staff is always super friendly as well. During the summer a visit to the pool is a must (it isn't the largest pool in the world but it certainly is fun to take a dip in while literally on top of the city on a hot summer day!) It's a great area for shopping, restaurants and a NYC vibe away from Times Square which is probably more fun for first time visitors to the city. There isn't much of a lobby but you won't be in NYC to hang out in a hotel lobby hopefully! Tip- if driving in just self park literally 200 yards around the corner and avoid the extra valet charge of the hotel which is quite pricey.
I have stayed at Trump Soho 4 times and indeed it's a great hotel. The location is perfect for us, it's close enough to all the best shops in Soho but without being in the middle of the crazyness and it's only a few steps away from the subway. The simplest room is very luxurious, I particularly love the bathrooms, and the view is beautiful. The staff is welcoming and helpful. The one time I stayed at a different hotel in Soho because it was cheaper I regretted it big time.
"Decent property, bad service"
Trump SoHo is decent property. It is well located and rooms are a bit bigger than average for the price. Mine had an amazing view of Hudson river. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was quiet in the PM which is often not the case in big cities and modern hotels with thinner walls. Unfortunately, if you are used to good service I suspect you will be annoyed on many occasions should you decide to stay here. I arrived to the hotel just a few minutes before 7am. There was no doorman on duty and no one to help me with my bags. Luckily I only had 2 small pieces of luggage so I made my way in. An employee who I saw in the lobby seemed shocked at my expectation for doorman service at 7am. When I got to my room, I discovered that coffee pods were not refilled after the last guest. I called the front desk, they promised to bring some by. I called again half an hour later. Eventually it was delivered. The main restaurant at the hotel is a sushi bar called Koi which is even featured on the room key. However, they do not deliver to the room. I saw a concierge note on my desk that said that hotel extends a special service to all of its guest which includes delivering food, grocery items and other special requests. I called the service and asked them to pick up my takeout order from Koi. They said, No, we can only deliver from outside the hotel. That made absolutely no sense and at that point I decided that I will never stay here again. However, I will come back to the Spa which is really nice, features great hammam treatments and is open to general public.
"Unexpected surprise "
We stayed in the premium floors and incredible views of the city as well our daughters room of the Hudson River. The hotel staff was amazing and on top of every request. There's a Koi restaurant in the hotel which was fabulous. The location is in walking distance to all the great shopping and restaurants SoHo has to offer. The hotel even has a pool which is nice after a hot day. We never had a problem getting a driver as well. Very impressed with this hotel and their service and rooms. We would definitely stay there again.
"Excellent place to stay."
Terrific location. Staff is beyond wonderful, Everyone went out of their way to take care of me and make me comfortable. The front desk was so welcoming and concerned that I had everything I needed to make this a successful trip. The concierge had a vast knowledge of the area and every recommendation of his were spot on.
