the hotel was modern and clean. the rooms were comfy and the bathroom/shower perfect. the only issue we had was the internet. you have to get a user name and password fromm the desk downstairs every day, as the pass only lasts one day! therefore every morning when you wake you have no internet access, you have to dress and go down to reception. this was annoying. apart from that its a great hotel and great location.Comment of O. "Very good hotel :)"
I went to this hotel back in September for a few days as we were going to Lollapalooza festival at Treptower park, the staff were really friendly, the rooms were massive! Good value for money I would definitely go back! Absolutely fab and in a great location :)
"What's it like staying at TRYP Berlin Mitte"
The hotel was very nice a clean, not one of the best looking hotels in Berlin but great for low prices and good service. Upon arrival check out was very easy, car parking was 18e a night which we thought was excessive so we parked to the side road adjacent to the hotel. You can park for free on that road but beware some parts you can not so please read the signs. The rooms were decent small size but modern and comfy. The bar was nice if not a little expensive for cocktails. The annoying thing for me was the wifi, you have free wifi for 1 hr otherwise you need to pay 5e a day and connection was not great. The hotel has a GYM and Sauna located on the top floor which also had a rooftop area to chill out or catch some soon if there weather is hotel. Next door to the hotel is a burger place where you can grab a quick bite to eat and also a organice store around 8 mins walk if you need groceries. Overall a nice hotel if you can get the rooms for cheap, not the one of my favs, like i3 Hotel (around the corner) , berlin mitte hotel or Nhow Berlin, but great for price and comfort.
"Great weekend stay "
Stayed for 3 nights for a visit to Berlin. Ideally situated in East Berlin. Very modern hotel on a busy road. Check in was easy and our room was a twin on the second floor. It overlooked the main street which was noisy in the morning due to traffic. We didn't complain or move rooms but bear in mind if you want a quiet time . Room size was ok, high ceilings, big windows, tv , very nice fixtures and fittings. Fabulous walk shower in the bathroom. Wardrobe space, safe and mini bar. The hotel reception had a lounge area, bar and restaurant. We didn't have breakfast ( approx €17 ) but to be fair it did look good. In the reception there was a tv with airport information, local weather and news pages. Location wise, 25 minutes walk to Brandenburg gate and Reichstag. The U bahn is 2 minutes away and trams passed regularly. There's a lovely little family run coffee shop / bakery a few doors away, a 24 hour store and a great inexpensive Italian restaurant up the road on the right. The inevitable Irish bar, The Oscar Wilde is 5 minutes walk away but better German bars are nearby. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and all 4 of us agreed it was ideally located for everything we did in Berlin.
"Excellent service, great refurbished rooms"
We stayed for 3 nights in October, and were very pleasantly surprised. The hotel is easy to find, being close to a metro station. It is also stylish and spotlessly clean. Check in was done very quickly, and special mention should be made of Andreas, who was professional, warm and welcoming, and extremely helpful in finding us a room, despite the fact that we were very early. The rooms are large, spotless, and comfortable, and the large bathroom was immaculate, with a big walk-in shower. The gym is small for a hotel of this size ... however, we never saw anyone else using it. The only thing we would say is - like many others - this hotel seems to be opting to fix it's air-conditioning to a set minimum temperature, which left us too warm. We did ask for the air-conditioning to be looked at and made cooler, but there was no noticeable change. In the end, we were able to open our windows, as we faced the centre courtyard and wouldn't have traffic noise and it was cooler outside, but in warmer weather this could prove uncomfortable. The cost of dining in the hotel is VERY expensive, when compared with dining elsewhere in Berlin - even expensive restaurants were cheaper. There are plenty of restaurants in the local area, so do wander and find them. However, we would happily stay here again, and would just keep making mention of the air-conditioning if we were uncomfortable. As I said above, special mention of Andreas at reception, who made us feel very welcome, and was extremely helpful with our early check-in.
"Lovely rooms, great staff but wifi not great"
Great location, really close to the U-bahn (underground), and walkable to the main streets. Lots of cafes/bars/restaurants nearby. Expensive breakfasts, so we avoided (£15/person). The staff were very helpful and friendly, and were very patient whilst I battled my way through speaking German to them! The only problem is the wifi. you only get 1 hour a day for free, on only one device per room. If you sat in the foyer, then it was unlimited, but you had to ask for a new code every 30 mins. Which in this day and age is a little silly. It meant we needed to sit in the foyer when trying to plan our visits, check restaurant prices/location etc. It was a little exposed. But the hotel was lovely. big rooms, very clean.
