"Good Hotel but expensive"
Hotel is very good, elegant, classy in all the environments. If you are looking to host an event that kind of hotel give you the status and presentation that you need. Just for a stay, or weddings is nice too, but a little expensive. Have free internet and breakfast included within the rate. Located 5 mins walking distance from Aventura Mall and even the hotel offers you free shuttles.
"Excellent conference venue"
I was attending a Richmond Events conference here. The facility is beautiful with very nice conference rooms. I have to say the guest rooms are very well appointed. Nice comfortable beds and a huge flatscreen TV with endless channel selection. The bathroom was almost too big with both a shower and a separate tub. But why would you stay in the room when you have such a gorgeous pool, golf course and much more. Finally, one important note - the food (catering) was top notch. Considering having to serve ~350 people- I felt the food was particularly tasty, service was prompt and professional. Highly recommended if you have a large event in mind.
"Super friendly hotel staff, amenities decent but property overall needs an upgrade"
I stayed at the Turnberry Isle Adventura in May 2017, pre Memorial Day weekend. This is the place for you if you're a golfer. I was there on other business. Our room was nicely appointed. However it wasn't very functional. For example there was no power outlet near the desk in my room. I had to physically move a lamp with an outlet socket to the floor and then stretch my cord over. It was a bit ridiculous. It rained one day and our patio got soaked and we couldn't sit out there. There were 2 drainage holes but the water didn't automatically go down. It required a squeegee or something to push out, which we didn't have and the room attendant didn't automatically take care of it. I felt I had to contact staff for items I can typically fetch myself, like ice, which meant you have to be prepared to tip for everything. We had to rush to meetings when we checked in and the hotel staff said they'd bring our bags right up. However when we returned to our room our bags were not there. The bell guy was waiting for us to be in our room to drop off our bags and get his tip. I like tipping but don't hold up bags! The bathroom was huge and beautiful with a great vanity. The Jacuzzi however only fit one person. Such a waste. There was also no mini fridge to put a few of our fruits and leftovers. Again I believe this is because they want you to purchase everything from the hotel. Likewise with water. They had the most expensive (glass) water bottles available for purchase, but no (cheap) complimentary water bottles. The pool areas are nice and the lazy river is ideal for both children and adults. Here too though you can't just give them your room key or room number and get your towel. Someone has to walk you to your chair, which again means TIP. I ate lunch twice in Corsair. It was good but slightly overpriced at $50 a pop without alcohol and gratuity included of course. The pool food was good and cocktails were pretty decent. OVERALL, the property was nice but felt and looked dated.
We stayed at this hotel for 1 week in May for my husbands 40th birthday. The hotel and resort is beautiful we had a gorgeous room over looking the golf course room 3511. The valet parking is extortionate and seemed pretty chaotic so we parked, for free, during our stay (a stones throw away) at the Aventura Mall (the parking section next to the Marriott). We had no hassle that way getting our car when we wanted it and did not have to pay anything!!! The hotel grounds, pools and gym were fantastic and the Starbucks on site was a really handy touch. We ate in the steak restaurant in the hotel but whilst this was lovely the prices were very high, we felt it was very over priced. Also be aware of the drinks prices they are very deceiving only advertising glass prices which some would assume are bottle prices its very unclear. Be warned as you don't want any nasty surprises when you get the bill!! Overall a stunning, and very comfortable stay.
