"Not worth the rating"
The property is magnificent! The staff very friendly! The rest is surely not worth the price or the rating. The difference between a top rating and a good one is the little things. Going the extra mile to serve a guest. In this case the extra mile turned to miles. I would go back, but with much much much lower expectations. Whether it is in the food, cleanliness, overall maintenance. or aging furniture they all disappointed. Upon brining some of these up to the staff they all brushed them off. Bad food was not adjusted on the bill, poor services was told that they are very busy, and poor maintenance was not addressed.
A beautiful hotel. An excellent overall experience. Rooms are very spacey and the lobby and pool areas fantastic. Customer service is second to none. Location is great too. Magic ambience. I would totally return here.
Spent 2 weeks at this lovely resort. Compton who assisted us with our luggage and took us to our lovely suite is a huge asset to the Turnberry, always smiling and helpful. Grounds and Pool are beautiful, perfect for walking and sunbathing. All staff very friendly and helpful. We had a wonderful stay.
"Just outside of Miami Beach Resort"
Visited the Turnberry Isle hotel and had a great stay. It's a very large resort complex outside of South Beach Miami. Which makes it really convenient. It's a slice of serenity and relaxation. The adult pool didn't really stay an adult pool but still it was nice. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive and overall had a wonderful stay and would visit again if I am in Miami.
"Arrived on New Years Eve, maybe 3.5 stars+"
We arrived 12/31/2016 mid-afternoon. We were promptly greeted by valet and luggage was taken/delivered promptly. As we were checking in a little early our reserved room was not ready but we were "upgraded" to a superior room, resort viewing - not sure what the upgrade was. We did however get a room right away. Room and bathroom is oversize, very large. Even though it was to be newly renovated, it still felt sort of old to me. No useable mini fridge in the room was a disappointment. There is a bat fridge but every inch full with items for sale. You get seated by the pool, somewhat for a mandatory gratuity. I didn't feel this service offered anything at all. Good service by the pool was totally lacking. On New Year's Day it took an hour to get "chips and salsa", which really involved opening a bag of chips and pouring into bowl. Room was clean, we slept well. We realized on our second day that there was a lunch buffet by the pool which had great value. Would recommend over ordering from the pool menu. We stayed only 2 nights and didn't eat at any of the on property restaurants. Great location. This stay was a family of 4, 2 adults, 2 children. No marriott gold benefits, beyond a late checkout of 2 pm which indeed was appreciated.
