"Website photos do not give true indication"
Our stay at Turnbury Isles was an overnight after flying in from London to Miami, prior to joining a Royal Caribbean cruise to the western Caribbean and Mexico from Port Everglades the next day. The room was very large, with possible access to both adjoining rooms. The balcony, overlooking the practice driving range was shared, Very large comfortable bed, with adequate bedside lighting for reading. Restaurant prices were expensive by UK standards. Free shuttle bus to the nearby Aventura Mall, and the return could be called from Bloomingdales - whose staff were very helpful. Overall, the elevators and other public areas looked 'tired', the indication of a well used and popular hotel. The two golf courses looked well kept (to a non-golfer) and there appeared to be an adequacy of buggies. The only drawback was that it was raining when we where there.
"Top notch, beautiful property!"
This property is simply beautiful and we have had a wonderful visit. We felt very welcome. Played a few rounds of golf, just terrific. Spent some time at the Laguna pool and grill. We were treated very well and had a great time. Federico was very careful to see that our visit went well. He was helpful and very cheerful!! Thank you! Great time!
"Amazing family vacation "
Just came back from a memorable family vacation at the Turnberry. The front desk staff, Jerry in particular, we're so accommodating to our needs. The grounds were beautiful and the kids loved the lazy river and water slide. The hotel itself is aging so gracefully, the class is very apparent.
"Pre cruise stay for 3 nights"
This resort was amazing. From the registration desk to the pool area the staff was terrific. The room was so big I could not believe it. Our view from the balcony of the golf course was very pleasant. I wish our room was another level higher but it was a great view. I enjoyed the lazy river. There was something about it that was just so relaxing. I know this was the kids area but the kids were nice and we were fine. There was another adult pool but we did not hang out there. We ate at the Laguna Grill and it was ok but a little pricy. We also brought sandwiches to the pool but we were asked not to eat them at the pool since they only wanted us to eat their food. Otherwise all was good and we very much enjoyed ourselves.
We haven't stayed here in years and decided to give it another shot. We were very pleasantly surprised. It proved to be a solid 4 star resort. The rooms were nice spacious and clean. We stayed in the Jasmine building. We found the hotel staff friendly and helpful, especially the Front Desk , Bell Men and Pool Staff. We had breakfast in the Corsair restaurant every morning where you had the option of a buffet or a a la Carte menu. The buffet breakfast was included in our package, but if it wasn't it could be a little pricey at about $73 for two including tax and tip. Special shoutout to Amanda, a waitress in the restaurant, that really went out of her way for us. They have a great spa and fitness room ( I used the fitness room every morning) and having a real Starbucks on the hotel grounds proved to be a great perk. Overall a great experience. We'll definitely be back!!!!!!
