"Business trip type hotel but also for an escape for two"
Nice clean hotel, not too big, definitely not small. You can get a nice night rest. Good location close to old town Madrid and shopping area. Professional staff willing to help. Not a bad choice at all. You can do a lot worse in Madrid, my dream city.
"Excellent stay in central Madrid"
I really enjoyed my stay at Urban Hotel. First class hotel with first class service and very centrally located. The staff was very nice and servichinded. The room was very clean and with good space. Can recommend.
"Solid Hotel for 2 Night Stay"
Spent 2 nights at the Urban with my husband. This hotel is in a fantastic area for exploring the city. Front desk staff were efficient and helpful. Our room was clean and modern with a nice big comfortable bed... However, it's important to note that the room was small and also very "dark". Shower and bath area was sufficient for what we needed. We did not eat at the restaurant but we did have a nightcap at the Glass Bar (great bartender) which was super lively late in the evening.
"Great hotel - very artsy"
Very helpful staff. Great location. very nice art exhibition - it came as a nice surprise. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 is I found the room decoration very very dark-- such a nice hotel- room decorations could be a bit more lighter
"Excellent location, charming staff"
As stated, excellent location and very charming, helpful staff. Short walk to museums and markets. Five minutes from Sol metro and some excellent restaurants and tapas bars within a couple of minutes walkl.. Despite costing about 250 euros a night our room was rather small - we had to edge round each other to get round the bed. For my taste, the hotel is a little too determinedly designer, clever ideas at the expense of practicality. The light switches are all a bit complicated. There was a double marble sink with two separate taps, but this left very little space for putting your toiletries. There was a Nespresso machine hidden at the back of a dark cupboard which made it quite difficult to operate. The cups provided were actually too small to take a full Nespresso coffee. The light in the suitcase area was motion sensitive at head level and went out every time you bent over to take something out of your suitcase. The double glazing is very thick and keeps out all sound from the street. I do like value for money and I found it rather expensive. Breakfast at 28 euros - in Spain' We went out for churros. An earlier poster said that the airport pickup was 90 euros, about three times the price of a taxi. If you don't mind the cost and don't need a large room, this is lovely.
