"Luxury in Ibiza! "
Stayed here for four nights in June with a group of friends (age range 25-30) to celebrate a friends 30th birthday! I stayed in the Ay Caramba Suite and it was fantastic!! The room was huge with 3 balconies and a hot tub and everything was to a high standard! The Aqua Di Parma toiletries were a lovely touch!! Breakfast was an experience in itself ......the quality and choice was fantastic!! The hotel concierge team were also fantastic throughout our stay and also dressed the suite with Birthday decorations before our arrival (at a charge). The pool and beach areas were always clean with beds available! It was quieter in terms of other guests than we expected (we visited in the middle of June) and we were slightly disappointed that the main residencies did not start until the week after we left (we had booked in advance when the line up had not been announced so no ones fault). 6 of our friends stayed in standard rooms which were all modern, spacious and clean! Overall a great stay!!
"Such fun "
Apart from our room not being ready until gone 5pm, we stayed in the tower it seems to be a lot more classy than the club side. We had the best time! Staff were great, the dj by the pool played decent house all day, the saxophone player in the pool was great, we ate by the pool which was nice had the burger. Complimentary bottle of champagne and chocolate cake was in our room! We stayed on top floor so the view was gorgeous definitely be back this year.
"Disappointing and not a 5*"
I stayed here at the beginning of September with my girlfriend in a anything can happen stage view suite. I had been to the club on many occasions before and this year decided to stay in the hotel. Overall I have to say I was quite disappointed with the whole Ushuaia experience. This is absolutely not the 5* luxury hotel it is made out to be and the customer service is lacking in many areas. Customer Service Reception staff were very friendly and efficient during check in as were the drivers who collected us at the airport. We had some friends staying on another part of the island and they came over to meet us at the hotel. Once at the hotel we decided to get some food and drinks. We sat at a large table in the restaurant, the only one big enough to fit our group however it was not setup. After about 10 minutes of being sat on the table a member of staff appeared and told us that the manager said "there is no way we can sit at this table". No explanation was given. Our group was split and sat on different tables. Needless to say ushuaia lost out on food orders for the group, and definitely didn't give my guests a good impression of the hotel. The table we were moved from was still empty an hour later after we left. In terms of the bars, service was generally ok however you would often find yourself waiting as they were too busy talking or doing something else, again not something I've experienced in a 5* hotel. On our final night on the roof I bought a bottle of champagne. Unfortunately the bar man did not charge me for this. The next day i went to settle my room bill for food and drinks. I pointed out to the receptionist that the champagne was missing, she commented that it was very honest of me and as it was there mistake they would not add the charge. Later that day I went back to the bar on the roof. The same barman who served the champagne confronted me about not paying for it, quite aggressively. I explained the conversation that I had with reception. He called a manager to come and speak to me, they were also very confrontational. The receptionist had already refunded part of the 1000 euro bar tab I had put down at the beginning of the stay. The hotel were now insisting that I paid for the champagne, which meant I had to convert more money into euros. As a result I was charged for the champagne and the currency conversion so it ended up costing me more for a mistake that the hotel made. The way I was spoken to, you would just think I'd walked in and robbed them. Absolutely pathetic customer service. Property- The hotel interior is very nice however it is dated in many parts. Furniture around the pool especially is quite worn and in need of replacement. Some parts could also do with painting. When the tower opened in 2013 Im sure it was immaculate but it doesn't look like that appearance has been kept up. The hotel is quite dirty. Understandably the floor in the main hotel is sticky due to the club events, and it stinks of sewage. The tower pool is also quite dirty and the floor is covered in gum etc. Many windows are very dirty, especially on the roof which is also littered with rubbish at the other side of the dividers. I wouldn't expect this in any hotel let alone a 5*. Upon checkout and check in we were offered a complimentary room that we could use to change or get a shower. The room and bathroom were absolutely disgusting. Most public toilets are cleaner than that. Food- We ate at the hotel on a number of occasions and the food was always very good. Overall the hotel was very disappointing. A 3* hotel at best that needs to improve on its customer service and cleanliness. The only reason I have not given the lowest rating is because of the club. SUMMARY If you want to stay at a luxury 5* hotel, this is not the place for you.
"Modern nice hotel - really unexpected"
This hotel is not cheap, but at the end of season (after the concerts and parties) the prices are fine. I want to try this hotel, then we come and stay here. At the end of October there was only some tourists here and more older ones (40th to 50th) than young ones. The hotel is with really modern design, very nice - like on the pictures on the Internet - and unexpected with the show at the pool, with live DJ or a champagne at the room. We had the Anything can happens room, a huge one, with Jacuzzi at the balcony. The room was clean and nice. We love it. Also enjoy the pool with warmed water and the breakfast with champagne. At that time the breakfast was not so huge and not as variable as at the ad on the Internet, but was nice. We had an airport lift arranger by the hotel - it was on time without problems. The staff was nice and smiling generall. I love this hotel, wish to stay again next year.
"Out of this world!!!!! "
If you're going to ibiza you absolutely have to stay here!!!!! No questions asked! The service and staff are very helpful and amazing. This is an adult only hotel. All about the fun! We were a group of 10 people who reserved mixed room types - swim up rooms and double rooms. I personally had a swim up room, nothing beats that waking up in the morning, walking out the door and having your feet immersed in water! The best part about it the concerts that happen on the main pool! How awesome is it to casually walk a few steps while wearing your bathrobe to a full fledged edm concert attended by hundreds of people!!! It's kickass!!!!! Parties start at 5 and finish at midnight. This is when you go to the other clubs on the island and party till 7am! But don't worry even if you take a nap in the afternoon, you can and you won't be disturbed especially if you take the swim up rooms. They are situated in a sound proof area. We basically ate all the time at the hotel. The food was great but I do encourage you if you can to go out and visit some of the more authentic restaurants. There's a beach area (sandy) showcasing beautiful people sipping on moet in ice with fresh fruits - paradise! Definitely coming back! I have a feeling that this is turning into our yearly ritual!
