"Luxury room view to the pool"
If you want a quiet room then choose luxury room view to the pool and away from escalator. I had room 218 and was very satisfied. This hotel offers a beautifully shaped swimming pool! Breakfast is copious! Tapioca pancakes are done on demand for you by a very pleasing young lady with a gorgeous smile!
Looks quite impressive but I felt the hotel didn't live up to it. The hotel was totally overwhelmed by the size of our tour group, unable to cope with luggage, no food, apart from bar snacks, available on our arrival and not enough staff to cope even with that. Breakfast was just about adequate but not appetising and just one coffee machine for a large number of people. Our room was ok - it looked as if it was one of the new ones and hadn't deteriorated.
"Visit the gift shop"
Visited as part of a large tour group. The hotel was unable to cope with the number of guests and this has probably clouded my judgement slightly. Food and bar service poor during our visit, except for the lady cooking the tapioca pancakes at breakfast. Room ok but not great and wifi not bad. The highlight of the stay was the gift shop, friendly helpful lady running it and T shirts good value for money also the other items seemed reasonably priced for a hotel gift shop.
"Impressive front but don't be fooled"
As we drove up to this hotel I was quite impressed. Sadly this was the only thing impressive about it. If Fawlty Towers were part of a chain this hotel would belong to it. Our room looked ok at first but quite small. It was not very clean and there were no hand towels in the bathroom. Two lights in the room didn't work so it was very dark. The view was of a building site in the courtyard. There were no porters to help with luggage. Service was abysmal during our three day stay. Surly waiters. Rubbish coffee. Non existent food. One coffee machine for all the guests to serve themselves at breakfast. Pool reasonable but dirty. All in all not a very enjoyable experience.
"Adequate, but only just."
We were there as part of a tour and our review is prejudiced because the hotel said they didn't expect us to want to eat when we arrived at about 20.00. They thought that we would want to eat out. 35 degrees, 100% humidity, dark, unknown town. That they hadn't questioned this is mind-boggling. Room, not enough room to open both our cases. Wasn't ant point in mentioning the cockroaches in the shower in the middle of the night although I took a picture.
