"Gracious hospitality in a magnificent setting"
Villa La Vedetta is a beautiful hotel in a magnificent setting, enhanced by attentive service. The day starts with a lovely breakfast buffet and the option to have additional dishes made to order--all included with the room fee. The dining room overlooks the terrace and a breathtaking panorama of which the Duomo is a focal point. After a busy day of sightseeing, guests can enjoy tea and delicious cookies in the living room from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. We rented a junior suite, allowing our teenage daughter to sleep in the sofa bed in the sitting room while my husband and I claimed the large bedroom. The bathroom was large and the amenities were upscale. My only problem with the room was that the closet was small for three people. The concierges, Marcella and Valentina, made us feel pampered and cared for during our entire stay. We used the hotel shuttle to get to the Ponte Vecchio, whether we were headed to the center of Florence or staying on our side of the bridge to explore the Oltrarno., I would highly recommend Villa La Vedetta. We visited in November, but I imagine it's even lovelier in the spring.
"Perfect Hotel : quiet at night"
Great stay here . Staff was wonderful . Room clean and spacious . Food was good . Nice setting not to far from Downtown . Shuttle available . No worries about traffic at night or loud noises . Slept great here !
"Quite boutique hotel"
Very nice and quite hotel. 15-20 minutes away from Florence center. Free shuttle available. Breakfast with amazing view. Only downside was the hotel is very quite so you cannot make noise. They have a very limited workout corner on the top floor. So like usual I went there for a workout at 8am in the morning which I assume is a usual time for workout. However I was asked by the staff to be quite as the noise from the bicycle was making too much noise.. I realised all people are are an older age so not a good hotel to enjoy with friends or families.. maybe if you are a couple.
It was our first time in Florence and I decided to book in this hotel because it was highly recommended to me by my friend who was so impressed with it. And he is right. It is located in the hills of Florence and you will see the magnificent view that will make you feel so calm that you just almost wanted to live in that place. It is a boutique hotel that is also perfect for honeymooners because of its ambience and location. Their breakfast buffet is so good which is located next to the veranda so you can also see the scenic view of Florence. The only problem that we had during our stay was the bathroom. It was so hard to take a bath especially at night because it was so cold. The breeze from the outside passes through the window. But other than that, everything was great.
"Gorgeous Villa in the Hills of Florence"
We absolutely loved this spot. Moments away from the Michael Angelo it was a perfect stay. We loved the breakfast so much! They had great music playing each morning and helped us to start our day a little happier if even possible. There was the most beautiful basilica steps away from us and I cannot remember the name. We spent almost an entire day there. Just the fact that it's Firenze Number Nine makes it all the more magical and sacred. You feel a very deep connection as soon as you walk in.
