"Old but nice "
The staff were helpful and spoke in English. There was one guy with curly black hair who was particularly cheery and helpful. We stayed for 6 nights and at first found the room a little bit small. It seems like this is average and it grew on us. We were on the third floor and had a nice view of the street and a little balcony/window. The bed was comfortable and I felt like the room was clean. The room was cleaned daily. There were some stains on the wall like something had been spattered on it' Wine' No big deal but just needs overall update. The bathroom was clean but again attention to detail like a couple of bits of mould on the seals etc but overall it felt clean. We used the fridge for our own drinks that we bought which was handy. We heard no noise from any other guests during our stay. The room was quite warm at night and we usually left the window open to let in cool air. We didn't eat or drink at the hotel so can't comment on that. The location is great. 5-10 mins walking to notre damn, pantheon many restaurants and bars also the metro station at notre damn. Overall we were pleased with the hotel and were treated nicely. The hotel is old fashioned chic kind of still but could be done with renovations. Thank you for our stay.
"Small rooms but good location"
A three star hotel (not 4 star as promoted) that is typical of many in the area. The friendly staff including the barman made for a pleasant stay but don't make up for the small rooms and the truly impossible shower! We had two connecting rooms and the hand-held shower in each bathroom needed careful positioning on the bracket lest the water went everywhere (which it did like a wild hose snake at least twice). We also found the heating inconsistent. It was extremely warm in our room but the connected room was much colder yet the dials read the same. Time for an update and maintenance! The breakfast is basic - hot and cold but enough to start the day. It does have charm and the rooms are various sizes. The location is good for walking and there are some good restaurants nearby. The internet is weak so is slow with data.
I was given a room on the top floor. It was so small that the chair in front of the desk had to be jammed in between the bed and couldn't even manage to sit on it. The shower had a sloping ceiling and totally unable to stand up properly. Breakfast just about adequate. Wouldn't stay again.
"Good location and price but tired hotel"
Stayed in hotel over Christmas. Location was good, just round the corner from the Pantheon and close to plenty of restaurants and bars. About 10 minutes from a main RER stop which was convenient as well. Room was OK. Quite small but this seems to be the case with most hotels in Paris. However wallpaper ripped and lots of scuffs on furniture. No real problems, but just looked in need of decoration and nothing set it apart from any average hotel. I found the bed ok but my wife found it too hard. Internet connection very good. Would stay here again, but would shop around first.
