The Villa Soro hotel is located just a few minutes' walk from San Sebastián's well-known Zurriola beach and 20 minutes from the city centre and old town.

We were extremely impressed with how this hotel combined historical design/atmosphere with modern comforts and convenience. Truly peaceful and transporting.Comment of K. Jacob , United States the 2014-12-05
Away from the hustle and bustle of San Sebastian city centre, this is a lovely old merchant's house converted into a really plush relaxed hotel within easy walking ( and welcome) distance of the main attractions. Even Arzak is close! Our room was on the first floor, but there were also rooms which appeared to be below ground level'
This is a lovely small boutique hotel just about a 20 minute walk from the old centre of San Sebastian. It is worth the walk. There are also lots of good places to eat and drink within a 10 minute walk of the property. The property is quiet, well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast is amazing.
Without effort, this place oozes class, coziness, and charm. Ideal location away from the hussle and bustle of the city centre (20min walk into the old town). The rooms are neat and perfect. The building has charm and is romantic. The staff are helpful and extremely pleasant. Great hotel, with minimal fuss and distraction.
"Comfortable, quiet, excellent service"
Stayed here as the home base for our Basque vacation. Service was excellent. The hotel is a bit removed from the more active town center and old town but these are an easy 30 minutes walk or 10 minutes cab ride. Desk clerks were extremely helpful in identifying great places to eat.
"A BOUTIQUE HOTEL OF THE FIRST ORDER"
While investigating a small boutique hotel in San Sebastián my wif came upon Vila Soro via Trip Advisor and we were drawn to it because of it's charmin exterior and interior more than the comments. The Villa is a short walk to the beach, Old Town and the 'New' city precincts, so much so we walked everywhere. The Villa was as we expected - full of charm and well appointed. We had Room 4 (downstairs in the main building). The room was well appointed and had a small private courtyard. The air conditioning was not as cool as we would have preferred but we did not raise this with the front desk. Speaking of which, Oihana, Amaya and Maria cluln't have been more helpful as was their restaurant and housekeeping staff. Nothing was too much to ask for. The variety of continental breakfast was healthy and fresh and although having a limited choice of dinner and room service menu, the quality was good. We stayed at the Villa for four nights and could have stayed longer if our travel itinerary permitted.
