Hotel Vincci Palace is located in La Paz, near Porta de la Mar and Paseo de la Ciudadela. The hotel is next to the famous Miguelete de Valencia, 5 minutes from the Cathedral and close to the Church of Our Lady of the Departed and the Torres de Serranos. Enjoy the liveliest and most commercial area of the city.
"Good location, limited facilities"
The Vincci Palace is very well located in the old city, and its interior has good contemporary design in an older building. It shows individual character, which you don't always find in a chain hotel. Our room was a reasonable size, but a bit short of storage space for two people for a week. The bathroom was aesthetically attractive, but a few minor details suggested that the designer hadn't though enough about practical use. Both were coming to the point where refurbishment would be a good idea. There were no tea/coffee facilities, which was a pity because of the limited facilities elsewhere. There are some signs that the hotel may once have tried to operate a restaurant, but at present the facilities are open only for a very respectable breakfast. A bar/café is open for a couple of hours in the middle of the day and a couple in the evening (though there is a Starbucks next door). The solarium was closed for works when we were there, and there are no other facilities. We found the staff very helpful, but limited in what they could do; for example, they don't offer a proper concierge facility. Overall, this hotel doesn't really have the facilities you'd expect of a 4* hotel, and is perhaps more suited to a short business stay than a longer one for leisure. However, you might forgive those things for the location - and of course if you are offered 3* prices.
"Nice private terrace"
We stayed here for 3 nights in superior double room. Really nice modern room with a spacious private terrace! The food is not great, but plenty of options nearby. Location is super in the middel of the old town!
"Good value, lovely hotel, ideal location"
This is was a lovely hotel in an ideal location for a short visit to Valencia, five mins main squares in old town. Very warm and helpful welcome, all spotlessly clean. Beds v comfortable and room quiet. Only problem, and for me it was a major problem, was lighting. All so dim as to make it impossible to put make up on properly. Had I been on business and in a rush this would have been a major issue. Obviously designed by a man. And rather odd glass meant that you could see room mate in the shower which was a little odd.
"It could be good, but it's not."
Hotel smells, ceiling leaked on 3rd floor into bathroom, staff don't really care. Screaming Party people in Galway from 4:00 - 6:30 am. I reported things, no one ever checked. Great location! Stay elsewhere!
"Stay in Valencia"
Booked Vincci palace in the last minute for a 2 day conference in the last minute after fishing for the best deals available. Being slightly off season was lucky to get a decent deal in the last minute. Communication from the hotel right from the time of booking was prompt and friendly and my requests for a quiet room to prepare for the conference and a higher floor was approved without much ado. Room was very comfortable and clean. The only down side( or not) was that there was limited choice for english channels to watch( mostly new channels) so ended up watching modern family, big bang theory all in Spanish. The sad part is that since i have seen them many times i dint have trouble understanding. I used room service for dinner just once during my stay as there are so many nice restaurants close by as this is walking distance to the city centre or should i say in the middle of it. All in all communication - 5/5, comfort - 4.5/5, food(room service only) - 3.5/5, value for money - 4/5 and overall - 4/5 . Would i recommend it to a friend in future' - yes.
