"Needs maintenance "
Booked a junior suite half board for two nights. I requested that it be a quiet room if possible. We got exact what we wanted, a large room for the 3 of us. However the room stinks of mold & damp. No hot water, so we spoke with the front desk and within minutes (very quick) the maintenance guy turned up. The solution is to open all the hot water taps at once and leave them to run for 10 minutes to get hot water.....an incredible waste. We have a spacious terrace but unfortunately it is in desperate need of a good power wash to remove the moss from the walls & a lick of paint would be good too! Breakfast has a great selection, dinner not so much, but for 2 nights not a problem. The staff are friendly and seen relaxed and happy, even with hundreds of Spanish toddlers and kids running around creating havoc....even roller blading in the bar and reception. It's a shame it could be a beautiful resort. We won't be returning, mainly due to damp smell.
"Spacious, modern, beautiful grounds"
The hotel is one of the finest i have ever stayed in, i was amazed by its large , spacious rooms, with seperate bedroom and living room and large TVs in each, huge king bed with excellent mattress , contemporary stylish furniture. House keeping was extremely efficient, ladies work really hard and do great job keeping rooms and all facilities clean. All staff very polite and helpful, they always smile and acknowledge you, despite being busy and working hard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and had amazing time relaxing at one of the 4 swimming pools they have and indulged in delicious breakfast - choice is amazing - they even serve champagne on the bufet!
"Stay somewhere else"
We booked a five night stay in a Junior Suite with half board and a pool view. Normally we wouldn't request half board but we wanted a lazy, relaxing holiday and we'd already been to a lot of the restaurants around the area previously. After an eight hour shift at work and a two hour drive we were so glad that we had finally arrived. We checked in and were given our room key. As soon as we entered, we were hit with a musty smell and we had a lovely view of the main road. We were so tired we decided to deal with this the next day, grabbed something to eat before the restaurant closed and went to bed. We went to reception and explained the situation to the same person who checked us in. He went straight on the defensive and said that it wasn't their responsibility as we had booked through a third party and special requests could not be guaranteed. I explained that I made a special request for a high floor and away from the lifts. The pool view was not a special request, it was on the confirmation listed under facilities. He gave me the impression that he didn't believe me. So I showed him the booking. During this conversation and excuses, he turned around to his colleague and made a derogatory remark to her in spanish which is best left unsaid. Such was his arrogance that he did not realise that hubby could understand every word and is fluent in spanish. When he was asked to repeat that word, he completely changed his tune and began trying to find a solution. Within a few minutes he had found another room but it would not be ready until midday. It wasn't actually ready until around 3pm and when we went to transfer rooms neither key worked. When we eventually got in to the room, it was what we were expecting. A room with a pool view and it was on the top floor which happened to be on the second floor. After this fiasco we could settle down and enjoy our short break. We used the adult pool on the green which was really nice and quiet. Some children sneaked out from the kiddies indoor pool and jumped in but were swiftly told by staff to leave. There is another larger pool for families. All three are close to each other. There was a large selection at the buffet style breakfast to suit all tastes. However the food provided at dinner was monotonous and tasteless. The staff in the restaurant were a joy to meet, so friendly and welcoming. They really stood out and knew about hospitality. The room was spacious and quiet but we were awoken during the night from the constant door slamming around the vicinity. It seemed that the doors did not close properly and we had the same problem. One day we received a card stating that our room had not been cleaned due to our request of do not disturb. Complete nonsense. The gym had out of date equipment with no air-conditioning and no drinking water facilities. When we left there was a dent on our car door which was not there before we arrived and we had not used the car anywhere else. We parked it sensibly just outside the hotel with ample space on the drivers side. I know that the hotel is not liable and we parked at our own risk but it added more disappointment to our short break.
"Not really recommended"
Price on web was wrong to book, code discount didnt work. Staff polite but two times said no time to play billar. Some spiders in the room with a baby! Also baby sits were dirty for breakfast and lunch.
"Good hotel for families"
Weather was great, hotel great. Adult pool for those who want some peace. Beach, shops and restaurant 10 min walk away along a relatively busy road. Junior suite rooms an excellent size which is why it's perfect for young families. Separate bedroom and lounge area with lovely balcony or terrace. Room 2205 balcony gets plenty of sun - great!!!! All staff helpful and friendly. No complaints at all, just the location wasn't great for us.
