"Great Place to stay at If you dont have a Car to park"
Nice hotel. Good location close to lots of the tourist destinations. 1 block from tour bus around Madrid. Parking is a problem way too expensive !!!! I had a rental car and it cost me $30 Euros per night for parking in their garage. Had I know it was that much I would have stayed somewhere else that included the parking !!! overall it is a good place to stay!!!!
The room was extremely dark. Bring a flashlight. There was next to no ventilation! The beds very hard. The staff very nice and cheerful. You have to go to the elevator for enough light to check your appearance
"Great for museum-hopping"
The Vincci Soho is superbly located if you want to visit the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza and others in the neighborhood. The receptionists were very helpful in trying to assist us obtain medication at the pharmacy nearby, and overall staff were pleasant. Our room, 112, on the 1st floor, was decorator-sleek, if rather tight. The bathroom was spacious and lovely, all mirrors and smoky tones. The bed was super comfy and bed linens of quality. Our room didn't give onto the street but on a sort of mini-courtyard, so it was relatively quiet--when no guests were running down the wooden stairs not exactly next to us, or talking loudly in the corridor (Saturday night). Soundproofing definitely needs to be improved on! We would have liked to have more direct sunlight than the little we had through a narrow side window. Breakfast, though expensive if you had to pay extra, was very copious and had lots of nice touches like the tomato salsa and olive oil that you could slather on your toast, plus all the usual continental stuff like different breads, fresh fruit, birchermuesli, nuts, eggs all sorts of ways, cold cuts, cucumber slices, tomatoes. If you went down the street to the sushi place that does breakfasts, you could have something approaching this for a portion of the hotel's price. Service on the patio tends to be lackadaisical, especially at breakfast time. No one indicates a table free, the waiters don't clear tables, clients have to fend for themselves. Once we knew this, there was no shortage of restaurants nearby with outdoor tables. Still, we liked the hotel, probably would return, asking for a bigger room with a view.
My husband and I visited Madrid, Spain for vacation. Everything was great, but the room. There was no direct sunlight.. We could not wake up in the morning unless we set up our alarm. Also there were two twin beds instead of a queen size bed. When we book our hotel, there was no option for queen bed.
"Mini-Break in Madrid"
Highly Recommended. Ideally situated, walking distance (only a few minutes) to the city centre, main square, Metro etc. Numerous restaurants, tapas bars, small shops in very close proximity of the hotel. Good spacious clean bedrooms, high standard bathrooms. Would stay there again.
