"Beautiful upscale hotel"
The Vintage House is the most beautiful hotel I've visited. It's truly breathtaking in a breathtaking part of the world. The service was a little spotty given that the owners had recently sent in a group of highly knowledgeable and experienced staff to train a group of less experienced staff. That said, when you get the right person, the service is second to none. The bartenders and concierge went out of their way to treat us like royalty and we had the most amazing meal and wine pairing on our last night there. Be sure to leave plenty of time to relax by the pool. It's a great way to relax after touring the local wineries.
"Beautiful and charming!"
Loved the Vintage House! It is located on the river with outstanding views! The staff is very helpful and breakfast is delicious. We were there at a very quiet time of the year but still enjoyed it very much. Stay here!
"The Top Drawer Place in Pinhao"
We stayed after the hotel had just been remodeled, and it was great. Don't be afraid that it's not part of a fancy international hotel group; it's the premier property located right on the river in the heart of town. A no brainer. We only stayed one night, I wish I could have stayed longer.
"A gem, no less"
Spent there 3 days lately. Impeccable staff, lovely breakfast. Cosy and compliant bed, clean room and impressive bathroom. a beautiful paved 2km alley takes you to Croft Port shipper, best experience for a morning walk. Good local restaurant and Bar. A place to return to.
"Five star service with a relaxed feel"
Many people take the train out to Douro just for a day trip, but I'd recommend staying at least one night, and staying at this hotel. The hotel is walking distance to multiple quintas and situated on a lovely stretch of river. The staff is welcoming and helpful and will book you as many quinta tours as you like. It is really wonderful to watch the sun set over the valley and to wake to the gleam of morning light on the river. Everyone here is a port lover and we found ourselves in great company at this place. We stayed one night, ate dinner in the restaurant and had a lovely evening. Rooms are charming, clean, and bright. Every single room at this property has a water view.
