"Amazing customer service"
I can't say enough about the Operations Manager - Jeff Rose who took it upon himself to find a package of mine that went missing due to UPS delivering it to the wrong hotel. Jeff knew it was my contact lenses and that I was desperate. He kept me updated and had one of his team actually go get them at another hotel. I came home to find them in my room... I can't say enough about how much I appreciated his efforts. As a seasoned traveler at some of the top hotels around the world, this one act of kindness will not soon be forgotten. Jeff Rose deserves accolades from this hotel for doing the unexpected, so very, very well.
"Hotel with many great perks, but not for light sleepers"
Spent 4 nights in this great hotel with all the amenities one would need: huge, clean rooms with streets views, comfortable queen beds with crisp bedding, spotless bathrooms with ample toiletries, and extras like a coffee maker, a white noise gadget to help you relax, a safe, and complimentary water. Of course, it helps that the staff is friendly and welcoming. That said, it would be important for light sleepers to note that the hotel is located very near the hospital and the ambulance sirens will wake you up for they can pass in front of the hotel. Also, on a weekend, one may hear the music from the club downstairs, aside from the occasional drunk person yelling across the street. I am not a light sleeper so I rested very well. Also, if you intend to have breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, they provide a rather standard but well done menu of breakfast classics.
"Great Hotel to stay"
Excellent location, great service and clean rooms! will stay here again next time for Boston. It is one of my favorite W hotels or even SPG hotels. I usually stay in SPG hotels more than 50 nights a year.
"Do DOUBLE CHECK your bill, might have SURPRISE charges!"
Well, I wont lie. I had a nice stay at W Boston! But the whole nice experience was soured when I was checking out. I stayed at W Boston from 11/10-11/13/2016 when I was there attending a Scientific Conference. Apart from the regular amount for 3 nights, I saw that I was charged for the W-Lounge usage ($331.47), which I didn't use at all. Front desk helped me out and told me that some other customer might have given the "room number" wrong and that's how I was seeing the charges. The lady at the front desk was courteous enough to assure me that the issue has been taken care of. But 2 days later. i saw the charge on my credit card for something I haven't used and something "apparently been taken care of". Needless to say that the stay at W-Boston, which I enjoyed a lot, has left a sour taste now, and I will have to think twice before visiting there again (BTW, I am a member of SPG Preferred Guest Program, maybe thats why this special treatment to me). Even though I called the W-Boston hoping that this issue will be dealt with (sooner or later), and despite writing to Mr Gurkirat SINGH, GM, no body has bothered to write back to me or addressing my concerns!!! So, my advice is.... unless all the rooms in Boston are unavailable, DONT Consider going to W! (unless you love SURPRISE charges!)
"stylish, with some nice amenities"
White noise machines and Keurig coffee makers as well as ample device charging stations are nice touches. Lobby is hip an has a dj on Friday nights. Decor is elegantly minimalist and beds are heavenly
