Top quality hotel, fantastic design, elegant rooms, beautiful view of the Bay, very kind and helpful staff, what else do you expect from a comfy weekend stay in Hong Kong' W Hotel offers all these to you. I had one of my best travel experience in HK and one of my best stays at the W HK. Thank them all, especially Besjon Vokshi and his team, for their support on everything...
Amazing help I received trying to recover my mobile phone. The patience and helpfulness of the whole team is just incredibly amazing - the Whatever Whenever lived true to its name, with Mike patiently walking me through my iCloud account to help locate my phone. They even redeployed a team of Talent (as they call their staff) to my room and searched for my phone. I am just truly touched by their attentiveness and empathy and helpfulness. And yes, they found me my phone 😍
"The soul is missing"
I had read a bit on the W chain so decided to try a stay at the W when I visited Hong Kong recently W is renowned for their design sensibilities. Unfortunately, I can't concur- this is an attempt at design which some how doesn't work, especially in the rooms. Stray attempts at cutting edge design, yet doesn't carry that wow factor and just dent resonate I got a room with a fabulous view [ 19th floor], so no complaints on that front The concierge team is good, most of their recommendations were spot on, saved time and certainly saved money on the travelling front Didn't have any meals at the hotel so difficult to judge though the do have an award winning Chinese restaurant They have fabulous pool on the 76th floor, infinity like with a view of the bay It was my daughters birthday week, they made her day with a decoration on the bed and a sweet tray Unfortunately, all this adds up to "nice" , not "great" and certainly not " wow" Would I stay at another W in the future' I think I would, just to see how the other hotels perform. Am I disappointed ' Definitely. W has the opportunity to create the differentiation that hotels sorely need, not just in food and service , but also in attitude and appearance This one' Falls short by a mile
Location is good in arriving and transiting...a little farther when walking to TST but there is a van that will transport you to TST. I liked the decors in general but checked-in is at the 6th floor and hotel front liners were not at all friendly and accommodating even thou there wasn't any queue. The buffet breakfast was good but staff were cold and rude and they looked tired of their job. Only the Indian guy was good and kind enough but I forgot to get his name. I can try another hotel in my next visit.

I am a Starwood Platinum member who travels extensively worldwide. Thus, when I say that the service at this hotel is consistently best in class, it is based on many years of staying in many top hotels. No request is too much to ask this incredibly well trained staff. I have stayed here many times and have been saved from several travel emergencies along the way by this amazing staff. Special thanks goes to Francis Tsui, Welcome Relations Manager, who for years has curated my visits to this W. Emails in advance of my stays, calls and emails to assure I have everything needed during my stays, and personal notes of thanks after each stay--a lost art of bespoke service brought back to life.
