"Excellent Customer Service"
Not only is he room clean, trendy and fabulous, the concierge (Thomas) was extremely helpful and made our stay wonderful. The concierge went above and beyond by understanding our preferences for venues and restaurants prior to providing us with a customized list of options. Thomas made our experience in Montreal the best it could be. Excellent staffing!
I visited Montreal at the end of my trip and choose this hotel for the location and because he looked fashion and updated, which was the case. The hotel room is large, updated, quiet with a nice Jacuzzi, I loved it! You have all the accessories needed and a very nice decoration. The welcome area of the hotel is basic and you have no SPA or Pool in the hotel which is a little disappointment. There is a very good restaurant attached to the hotel, it's a very good brasserie. The staff is really nice and smiling. Overall good experience!
"Luxe Downtown Accomodations"
Fabulous location with easy access to all of Montreal. The hotel is upscale with luxe rooms and sophisticated facilities. While we traveled with a small child and the hotel was very accommodating, I would not describe it as "family oriented" hotel. We were there for the Comedy Festival and many of the performers were staying there as well.
"Sexy and Modern ,smack dab in the middle of the city!"
Great location , whether downtown or old montreal you are close . The bar and lounge are well known hotspots for nightlife . My Wife and I love staying here when we need a little getaway . romantic but still fun with friends
I stayed at the W while in town on Business for 3 days. Here's what I thought. Transportation: I took a cab from the Airport. It cost me $46 and took maybe 25 minutes in traffic. Check In: There was only one person in line ahead of me (my boss). Check in was smooth and quick. They gave me a voucher for a free drink in one of the many bars at the hotel. The Room: I stayed in room 502. It was a queen bed room. The room seemed very new. All the furniture was in great shape. The room was spotless. It had a mini-bar, a large TV, a coffee maker, desk, chairs etc. The room looked exactly like the TA pictures. I found the bed and pillows very comfortable. The bathroom was very nice and new. The shower had great pressure and no problems with temperature (it just took me a minute to figure out the faucet). The linens and towels were also very nice. Bars/Restaurants: I visited the restaurant for lunch and it was very good, but pricey. I had a sandwich and a salad, plus a beer and it cost me almost $40. The multiple bars at the hotel are great, but also pricey. I had two rums in the large bar on the main floor and it cost over $25 with a tip. They do have a happy hour with cheap(er) beer. Everything else was great at the hotel. There's tons of places to eat around the area. It's a short walk to some of the tourist things (bell centre, old Montreal, etc). I would recommend staying at the W.
