"The Marriott has a lot of work to do with this property. "
Two people occupied the room. Only one bar of soap, two towels, one coffee cup with lids that don't fit, no water in the room, Front desk unable to recommend restaurants, dirty rugs, 15 minute wait for coffee at restaurant, no concierge level or lounge for elite guests and they don't offer anything to make up for it. I'm sure there are better places to stay.
"Great downtown location, but really overpriced parking"
This hotel is in a great spot, walking distance to many eateries in downtown. The rooms are good sized and clean. They have a nice rooftop bar, pool and gym. The parking is pretty expensive to store your car, but there didn't seem to be another option, unfortunately.
"Great Hotel and Great Rooftop Bar"
Spent 5 days at the hotel and it was a great experience. Ate once there and it was pretty well priced for a hotel and the food was good. The decor was pretty nice throughout the lobby area and the roof top bar. Pool is small but its more an added bonus than anything else. The rooms were of a great size and everything worked well. Only downside was i had a room facing the construction and the windows did seem to let in a fair amount of noise. I found the check in was smooth and quick (admittedly it was about 7.30pm when i got there) but there was no issues there. The bar staff were great as well especially Dave (i think his name was). The one thing i would say is not having free wifi is a bit annoying but not the end of the world. Overall it was a brilliant trip and i would definitely come back to this hotel.
"Nice hotel, walking distance to everything"
The rooms are big and the staff are friendly. It has a big gym with quality Woodway threadmills. Close to seaside area which is great for running along the bay. Menu breakfast was a bit pricey, but quality was excellent.
"Cool Saturday night vibe on the roof"
My husband and I along with another couple were in Diego to see the Lion King. And we chose the Renaissance because it was in the area and one of the more reasonably priced hotels. The room was very small but modern and nice. We ordered chicken strips from room service to snack on while getting dressed they were good and delivered pretty fast. When we returned that night we went to the rooftop bar/lounge and it was really cool. There was a DJ playing some good party and it was a real chill vibe. The only think that I didn't like is valet parking is $45. That's pretty steep. Cool hotel. We'd stay here again.
