Hotel muy recomendable delante de la playa, a pocos pasos de Ocean Drive y Lincon.Comment of B. GUSTAVO , Spain the 2016-04-06
Excellent location and brilliant service BUT why do they have to charge for wifi in rooms in the 21st century when wifi should be free??Comment of B. Wahida , United Kingdom the 2014-05-22
I was able to upgrade my reservation using my SPG suite night awards to an Oasis Suite, which was both beautiful and practical - I could easily live in a room like this (with facilities like a full kitchen, washer/dryer, 2 balconies overlooking the beach and Bose sound systems on 2 of the 3 TVs - unfortunately only with an old-style Apple connector though, so difficult to play music through). The SPG room service breakfast worked very well and I had this two mornings. I did want to try The Dutch on my last day, and enjoyed breakfast there. Both the pool bar and Living Room served very good cocktails. I was offered access to the hotel's hospitality suite after check out which enabled me to use the pool on my last day before a long flight back to the UK.
"Take out a bank loan before you go!"
Lovely hotel with fabulous guest rooms and service but very expensive! Was reluctant to pay the ridiculous prices for food and drink. Having said that, the whole of miami south beach is not cheap. Pool and beach areas are lovely and staff are attentive without being intrusive. Would love to return but refuse to pay silly prices.
"I wasn't a fan of South Beach, but I will only stay at the W if I have a choice."
Amazing rooms, amazing service, great restaurant and bar. I was in South Beach in August for a mandatory business meeting. I have a couple of food allergies and I have never ever been in a hotel that made sure all of these allergies were addressed in every single business meal. This made this long week especially enjoyable. The views were wonderful. The suite was especially tempting -- no need to go to the bar . if you chose- quite an array of liquors were waiting. However, the bar - opening to the pool has amazing service and a wide array of specialized cocktails unique to the W. I had a number of fascinating conversations with locals who made this their home bar with the easy access to the boardwalk. With its great location, easy access and wonderful rooms and service, this will be the only hotel in South Beach for me.
"Dream Team Much' Mark, John, Joe & Gaby"
Ok. Ive stayed here a number of times - but I come back for a reason. Not only is the property gorgeous, but each stay gets better and better. Property. You can see the ocean from every room. Rooms ending in, or connected to, a 30 - absolutely BANANAS. You cant go wrong with bliss amenities - the sink side six - are abundant and if purchased from lets say Nordstroms or Sephora, would run you about thirty bucks a pop. The only bed more comfortable that Ive been in is probably the Prince de Galle in Paris. If youve come to relax, just lay in bed, look out the balcony at the ocean and drink champagne. Pool. The pool is always poppin, and if you are not into poppin, theres a quiet pool too. I might have tried everything on the poolside and beach menus, and have not been disappointed. And trust, i am quite a tool about my food. People. I have yet to meet a jerk in the building. From the guys at the door, to the food runners, to the cleaning staff (shout out to Ms Anne Marie, I wanted to take her sweet self home with me), everybody is pleasant, while still handling business. I mean, I have a day or ten each month when I am probably a nightmare to everyone who crosses my path. In addition to Ms Anne Marie, a few are of note to me: Gaby. Gaby is a W Insider. Not only is she gorgeous, but smart, funny, and resourceful. If she contacts you, just know that your stay may be the best one ever. I was very sad when Claudia left, but Gaby filled those shoes and then some. John is KING Insider (IMHO). I think he officially only handles whales (ala Tom Cruise, Lebron James), but he is so personable, remembers everything and everybody, regardless of "who they are." I cant count the number of times that he's recommended some place to us, we've gone and said he sent us, and every velvet rope came down. Joe is a Welcome Manager and Mark is the Welcome Director. Both will personally attend to any concern or need you have, even though they are really really busy. For example, Art Basel is a madhouse. Literally, everyone's famous (except me), everyone's VIP, and every room is sold out. Since the rooms are rack rate around this time - about $2000 per night at the lowest level - I just use points earned throughout the year. As a non revenue customer during this busy period however, I have been treated no differently. I was actually generously upgraded to a ridiculously large suite that sells for an amount I would only be willing to pay outside of a honeymoon suite on the moon lol. This type of upgrade is not normal - especially when cash is king, but the hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate us. Mark really went above and beyond, and certainly didn't have to do so. All Im saying is just get there. You'll love it too.
"W for Wonderful."
Stayed for 5 days in August. First time in a ‘W’ and not disappointed. Location is a little out of the main Boardwalk but 15mns to that area is fine. Right in the beach with its own beach area. Walk or cycle along the boardwalk, only 6 bikes though which was disappointing (suggest they get more) so unless you get one early you have to rent one from the city bike rentals across the road. Pool area is great with plenty of beds although quite tightly packed in. Fab for people watching though. Pool is pretty standard contemporary if there is such a thing with a pool. Pool bar and restaurant of to one side with an entrance to the beach area. Really stylish place with some fantastic artwork adorning the walls. We had a ‘Fantastic ocean View Suite’ On the 16th (ish) floor. Fabulous views over the beach and into South Beach. Split into a lounge area, bedroom and bathroom. With a small toilet and bathroom near the lounge. A small kitchenette was a bonus even if we did just make coffee! A really nice room, a very contemporary and maybe was trying to hard but definitely not old school. Great TV choices and music facilities. Well-appointed room and very comfortable. Great views from the balcony with comfortable chairs to sit and chill. All in all a real pleasure and would revisit. Room service was great!
