In DC for business. Old building, but beautifully decorated and terrific location. Freindly and knowledgeable staff. Room had great view of the White House and Washington Monument. Comfortable bed and great amenities. Highly recommended!
"Amazing hospitality "
My first visit to the DC area and I have to say this hotel is one of the best! Pulling up to the hotel the doorman, bell staff and valet welcome you and quickly and efficiently take care of your car and escort you the the Front Desk. The front desk is incredibly welcoming and make sure your hot buttons on your reservation have been properly addressed. Entering our room it is beautifully appointed and the perfect size. Our room happened to be looking over the US Treasury building next door to the White House While at the hotel might I recommend an afternoon or early evening cocktail on the roof top bar. Absolutely beautiful and scenic. Cocktails are moderately priced and staff attentive. I personally did not care for the rooftop bar at night a little bit clubby for my taste. But I opted for the upbeat lobby bar with the ambient lighting from the chandeliers. We also lunched in their lower dining room and did cocktails on the out door street level patio. Awesome food I definitely can not say enough about our experience except I will definitely return to this hotel!
"An Amazing Weekend"
Several of my friends and I descended upon Washington DC for the Navy Air Force Half Marathon. We arrived 16 Sept early in the morning from red-eye flights from the west coast. We were able to check into one of the rooms so a few could sleep and await the rest of the rooms availability. The front desk staff was accommodating and understanding. The "Livingroom" of the W was peaceful and comfy for the others to camp out in while waiting. The on-site restaurant Pinea had an great selection of foods available on its menu to satisfy a group of picky eaters...which is hard to do. Our stay was from 16-19 September and I believe we used all of the services from rental car, spa, business center, room internet, lobby internet, fitness room, rooftop club, Pinea, Livingroom, to baggage check/storage. No matter what we asked for it was provided or researched with a smile, even down to one member in my group forgetting their fitbit charger; one was found. My group will do the run next year and we will ensure our reservations are in place for this well located, staffed and friendly hotel. The views from the rooftop lounge and bar are amazing....go check out the sunset. Unforgettable.
"Best place if you want to be near the best of DC"
The W is a great venue with nice rooms, nice service and fun too - if you need it! The rooftop bar / lounge is really nice. Comfortable rooms, friendly staff and lots of great food and shopping all nearby help too! Also cool to be just around the corner from the White House.
"Top Notch Hotel"
Stayed at the W Washington for my husband's 50th last weekend and we couldn't have been happier. All the staff we came into contact went out of their way to make the stay extra special. Our room was clean and well appointed. 4 couples that came from PA to join us for the night were equally pleased. Location can't be beat. POV rooftop bar was an amazing place to enjoy drinks as the sun set over the white house and Washington monument. Highly highly recommend
