It is a very good hotel, no serious complaints about anything; but not excellent. It does not seem to be as great as Hilton brand.Comment of T. Jandhyala BG , India the 2015-01-23
"An icon - worth visiting"
Myself and two colleagues, our collective thoughts were; Comfortable beds Clean Staff were in the main very helpful Food was pretty good, but could of had a wider choice Breakfast, the buffet was fantastic Gym, hot Price, pretty well Location, couldn't be better I would return
"Overpriced and Old"
Paid $279/night for the smallest, outdated room I have stayed in all year. Thin walls--can hear my neighbors. Lastly, after paying a lot of money, I checked my bags and had to pay $1.00 for storing bags. Low-class, nickel & dime attitude.
Loads of other options in this city. So I recommend picking something else Unfortunately this was just an all around bad stay. Old and outdated. Nothing special about this place. And very slow wifi. And really bad service at the customer counters. Not worth the trouble
"Average Hotel, Good Location, Expensive Parking, Missing Amenities"
This hotel is centrally located for anyone visiting DC. It is not very close to a metro station, but not impossibly far away from Dupont Circle--about a 10-min. walk. Walking distance to Adams Morgan/U Street; a 5-min. car ride to Columbia Heights or Foggy Bottom; 10 min. ride to Georgetown/Downtown. The hotel itself shows its age, despite some apparent efforts to renovate the baths. My room was too small, and bathroom fixtures felt crowded. Rooms have no fridges or microwaves. I was told I could rent one for about $40/night. I agreed, reluctantly, but the fridge never showed up, so we decided to forego the added expense. If you enjoy cold beverages in room, or heating up late-night snacks, is not the hotel for you. Parking is exorbitant imo. $43 to self-park, $51 for valet. Ridiculous, even for DC. There is no pool in winter--theirs is an outdoor pool only. No hot tub at all. Reasons to stay here: if you like the central location, and room rates are reasonable -- if you don't need to park a car.
All amenities for Honors members here come with a price: lounge, breakfast etc not included. Rooms are old and bathrooms are small. Gym is ok but nothing special. Not much in immediate vicinity of hotel. Go elsewhere.
