"The Perfect Getaway Hotel in D.C"
Yup, this was just what we needed for our President's Weekend getaway. What a great location too! Right at the Metro stop so not only is the hotel in a perfect location to all attractions but if you want to travel around via the Metro it's right there. And the room' We must have been upgraded to a really nice corner room and the bed was SO COMFY! I wish I could have taken it home with me. There was a huge big screen TV that we didn't even turn on!! The bar/restaurant downstairs was so convenient for a late night drink or snack. And Starbucks is also in the lobby. What more do you need '' It's worth paying a few dollars more. Oh and it's shopping galore right across the street if you need it. Macy's, Nordstrom Rack, Saks off 5th. There's not enough time in a weekend to do everything! Just go and have fun! 👍
As a frequent traveler to DC this hotel meets all of my needs. The location is the best since it's located at metro center allowing for easy access regardless of what line is needed requiring no time consuming transfer. There are many great restaurants within walking distance and the hotels Executive lounge is excellent and never too crowded. The rooms are fine as is the gym. For a stress free business trip this is an excellent choice.
"Just as I Expected...."
I was greeted by Maurice at the door who took my luggage to the front desk. Sheera (sp') checked me into a wonderful room. Corazon from housekeeping introduced herself and asked if I needed anything. This is a nicely decorated, fresh hotel located right downtown over the Metro at Metro Center. It has a Starbucks in lobby, so I can get my fix before I get on the subway to go the office. There is a Macy's directly across the street and other shopping within a block. The employees are super friendly, helpful and keep the property very clean and nice. Everyone will enjoy this facility.
"Conveniently located and attractive"
I was staying a couple nights for a conference within the hotel. The room was standard fare. OK, the two things about hotels I always scrutinize are WiFi and HVAC. Both left a bit to be desired. Paying $12.95 a day for WiFi is outrageous in a modern era. The conference sponsor was paying for rooms and said not to worry, just pay it and the charges would be taken off their bill..but, still. And HVAC was one of these complicated setups--set fan to low, adjust temperature, whoops, now the fan is reset back to auto, why did it do that' Reset it to low. Do hotel companies realize how annoying all this complication is' My room was on the eighth floor and street noise was negligible but not nothing. And I could clearly hear guests in the room above me walking about. Hmmm.
I traveled to Washington, DC this week for work and spent four nights at the Marriott in Metro Center. The hotel is clean and the hotel staff were attentive. There's also a sizable Starbucks located in the lobby. The highlight of my stay was an extremely friendly bartender, Brandon, who served my friends and I great food & drinks with a happy disposition. He was always very helpful and offered up fun conversations.
