"Nice hotel, in calm district but need some renovation"
Check in was really nice and fast. Hotel is in nice area, calm and green. Not far from center 20 min by foot. Room is quiet large, very convenient, fast wifi and very convenient. But room was a bit cold specially bathroom, and hotel in general need some renovation, specially the exterior facade. It was not possible to print flight ticket from reception, a bit pity when you paid 57£ for one single night, that they charge 30 cents for printing...... Pity it s last opinion i ll remember from this hotel
"New Year's Eve"
We came with friend to stay and celebrate New Year's Eve. The staff were very helpful and hard working. Our only disappointment was the bedroom, which was small and somewhat outdated. The room however was clean . Our 3 course meal was excellent and washed down with an inclusive glass of bubbly. The evening was rounded off with entertainment and dancing to a very enjoyable duo. Overall the package was good value, only to be let down a little by the accomodation.
"Will not be returning"
I travel to Belfast frequently on business and thought I would try this one out as it was close to my morning meeting....wish I had not. I went for a superior double room, but it was not superior in any way.... extremely dated room, and a bathroom that was very poorly put together. For example the basin tap only function on extremes, cold or scalding hot. The loo paper is dispensed in a plastic box (like you get in a cheap nightclub) but worst, it is housed next to the bath so water obviously finds its way onto the paper. The shower was rubbish, with an inadequate curtain which did not stop water going everywhere. The towelling robe was disgusting, obviously seen better days, threaded and no longer white. TV in the bedroom was set up at the ceiling which is a bizarre place to put it. All amenities were old and dated to go with the decor. The staff at reception were not exactly cordial, but the bar staff were nice. I will not be returning. They desperately need to update all parts of this hotel.
"Post Christmas Break"
We spent a lovely, relaxing few days here after Christmas. The staff are very helpful and the location is great. The tour bus operators will collect you from reception and the museum is a five minute walk away. The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast varied and plentiful. The carpet in the foyer has seen better days but for good old fashioned, value for money, hospitality, The Welly is hard to beat.
"Good Boxing Day Visit"
My family booked a five course carvery for Boxing Day. Really good value for £19.50 per person. Food was very nice. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere in the restaurant with plenty of people there for the carvery. There was also entertainment in the bar area afterwards. He played from 5-7 and then returned again after 9. Really good singer with a repertoire of songs. Really enjoyable day.
