"In need of some TLC"
I stayed here overnight the reception went well, I had arrived early and I was informed I could get into my room early in an hours time , I went for a walk and my room was ready when I returned. I was on the first floor in a nice big room, flat screen telly, free wifi, good storage space, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, comfy bed but the bathroom and particularly the shower needs some updating. The shower head looked cheap, was leaking and it was difficult to get the temperature right. The lounge area is large with comfy seats whilst the breakfast was really nice with both continental and 'Irish' available. The hotel is well placed within walking distance of Queens and the museum and on the main road if you need to get a bus into the city centre. about 10 mins away - also good restaurant 100m from hotel - 'The Barking Dog'
"Amazing staff, went above and beyond the call of duty."
I stayed at the hotel for a night so I could have an interview at the US embassy the next morning. I pre booked a taxi to take me to the embassy first thing in the morning through the hotel which was late. Hannah the receptionist rang the taxi company several times to ask where it was and every time they said it will arrive in a few minutes which it didn't so while waiting outside Hannah took it upon herself to get a member of staff to take me to the embassy so I wasn't late for my appointment from a taxi which arrived 45 minutes late! Couldn't of asked for more helpful, friendly and professional staff to look after me during my stay. The room I stayed in was average but didn't expect to much more for the price I paid for the night.
"Past it's hey day but not down and out yet"
I was here as one of the organisers of a 5 day conference. First of all let me say the conference staff are the best I've ever come across. Lindsey the conference manager was always willing to accommodate our changes and Bert - well Bert was a God send. He was just amazing ensuring our rooms were ready each day, supplying all of our IT needs and keeping us stocked up with tea, coffee and biscuits. Now to the bedrooms - large triple, comfortable, warm rooms. Everything you needed was available. However I have to be honest they were a little dated and although the bathroom was clean there was dust on the radiator and liquid stains on the wardrobe. Looked like coffee or coke had been splashed over the white doors but never cleaned off. The daily cleaning was also very late in the day sometimes 4 o'clock. The restaurant was decent enough and very reasonable priced. Not the most varied menu but adequate. I Breakfast was included in my rate. Now whilst there was plenty of food to go around - Buffett style - the plates were the smallest breakfast plates I've seen. One round of toast and there was not much room left for anything else. Nothing to stop you going back for more food but really you shouldn't have too. Staff were all really nice and the smoking/outside seating area was excellent. Outside TV so in the warm weather you font miss your favourite sports show. Overall I would stay here again - it's not in the centre of Belfast though it's more the university side of things
"Great staff, not great rooms "
I spent a night in the hotel for work and I have to say that it has the most professional and welcoming staff! The service was great and the bar serves a reasonably priced dinner menu. However, my room was less than average, the bed was uncomfortable and the heat was either too hot or freezing I'm not sure what setting it was working from' The room itself was on the third floor and I couldn't sleep AT ALL with the loud noise from the hotels boiler system outside. It was awful having to get up at 630am with zero sleep. The breakfast was fine, just avoid the eggs they are powdery and not enjoyable. Ok hotel for the price of £65 per night with breakfast
"Interesting hotel complex in the heart of Belfast City"
This hotel (facilities) has something which interested us, when stayed just one night during our Ireland trip. It's located at near University, told as in the heart of city Belfast. Even it has several levels, large terrace area, combined into neighbor buildings (incl other restaurants etc) it has kept easy to go also for those who use wheel chairs etc. Staff was very polite, arranged your wishes, taxis etc. Unfortunately in our room was some problem with bathroom (today only shower), water was not lead totally away as normal. We advised them to repair it before next visitors. Pricelevel was suitable, breakfast very good.
