"Very Cool Hotel"
If you like boutique hotels with a great location, amazing vibe, and unpretentious staff this is your place. From the check in with Nick (he was the BEST) to the attention we got from the manager, this was an unforgettable visit. The location can't be beat, either--close to Columbus Circle, theatre district, and 5th avenue shopping.

Everything from the service to the food and having Dayna Decker toiletries made this a perfect example of elegance and luxury in New York. The added value of breakfast, the evening wine, beer and appetizers plus water and free wifi included with your room was great. I'm surprised they called it appetizers because it was really a full meal
"Exceptional stay in many ways"
I have travelled to NYC of 25 years frequently and have stayed and most every 4 star and 5 star hotel in Manhattan so I think my opinion should be worth reading. The stay at West House was comparable to other 5 star hotels as far as cleanliness, décor, elegance and efficiency of operations. That is not considered to be anything but to say they were marvelous and 5 star worth. Other hotels are good and a few are standouts and comparable to your hotel. The part that I have never experienced before in any hotel was not one that I would expect from a hotel and it made an impression on me. I had a couple of issues on my trip that were mostly my issue and not those of your hotel. Your staff helped me work through them and didn’t put me through a procedural ringer or lecture me with their processes. They actually helped me solve the problems and, frankly, owned the problem with me. For example, my stay was for one night. Due to an administrative error on my end, my assistant booked my flight for a two night stay so when I arrived at the airport I had no ticket or seat without a $1200 charge. I hopped back in the cab to find a room and my phone died so I just told the driver to head back to the West House as I thought it was so nice. I arrived and told my predicament to the front desk and that I had bought my room originally from Orbitz at a discounted rate. He AND his co-worker worked together to get me a comparable rate……..really a much better rate……. than I got from my travel site. This whole process took 5 minutes without complaint or hassle. I was dumbfounded and they did NOT have to do it. It was my issue. A downstream consequence of my additional night stay was that I had no clean clothes so I asked to send them out to laundered. After being told there would be an expedited charge since deadlines had past I agreed because I didn’t even think it was possible and truthfully would have been mildly happy to iron a dirty shirt and go on my merry way. I was happy they took this on proactively. This morning at 8 I received a call from a lady to explain to me there was an administrative error and it didn’t go out and they would fix the problem shortly with a mild delay and waive all charges on the clean. It is not that she threw money at the problem but rather she acknowledged and owned the problem and had a solution. I was floored. The 2nd time in two days at your hotel your staff did something that no one else has done which is to own my problem as their own and fix the problem. It was such a stress relief to me. This hasn’t really happened before and it is how I hope (and wish) my customers see me and my products. Where I am there to facilitate the execution of why they chose me in the first place. I will proactively seek out your hotel in the future. Your staff made my personal frustration with my action (and my staff’s actions) go away in an instant.
The Westhouse Hotel was expected exceptional! I was here for a conference, then spent the weekend with friends. The service was wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed the concierge lounge. The decor was very well done. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Celebrating my Uncle's 77th Birthday with 5 other family members @ "Hello Dolly" with Bette Midler! A day after Winter Storm Stella dumps snow on New York City! The staff could not have been more accommodating. Birthday greetings & Champagne upon arrival! Assistance for my uncle with taxis to make dinner reservations, wheel chair availability at Museum sites, extra tickets, anything we needed. I can not say anything bad about the experience. The views are wonderful, beds comfortable, décor beautiful...I rate my traveling experiences by the level of service I have received & The Westhouse is 5 Star...Thanks to all of the staff for a memory my uncle will never forget.
