"Too large for staff"
We booked three rooms...finally at close to 5 they were ready. Next day two of the rooms were not visited by housekeeping. It is obvious that the housekeeping staff is not ready for sold out days. Main pool was overrun by teams with no hotel staff trying g to control. Remember these are dark but roomy condo units...not a hotel. No decent resturant on site...they expect you to eat in rooms. Family enjoyed our stay and pool time but I doubt we will return.
Palm Springs, with all it's attractions, is just a short drive from this quiet Palm Desert location. Beautiful grounds, nice rooms, friendly staff. Food in the dining room was good. This Westin hotel will not disappoint.
"Great Vacation Spot - Beautiful Villas"
This was our first trip to the Westin Desert Willows Villas and we will be back for sure! We especially appreciated the roomy villas. We stayed in the Deluxe One Bedroom Villa and our son and his wife were in the attached One Room Villa (2 Bedroom Lockoff Style). The smaller unit was quite roomy; they were very satisfied with the space and we spread out in the larger villa as is our usual practice at Westin Villa resorts. Our units were adjacent to the "Quiet Pool" which had wonderful, relaxing Spa type music and rules like no games in and around the pool, which limited the kids. There are 3 other pools in the resort and will be eventually 5 or 6 pools when the resort is complete. There was a great pool for children with walk-in "beach style" access that was perfect for the little ones. And the main pool area has both a more sedate pool near the bar and a large pool for the kids on the lower deck, complete with water slide! The pool bar at the main pools was a perfect place to relax with a micro-brew or some great umbrella drinks and had a good happy hour menu daily from 4-6 including cheap drinks and food from the Agave, the resort's restaurant and bar. Oh, and there is 24-hour in-villa dining option (room service) for those who get hungry late at night. We couldn't have had a more perfect place to celebrate Spring Break this year. We'll be back soon!
"Family Friendly Westin"
What a great place for a family to go to. In the heart of Palm Desert, close to a variety of attractions. Even though there was construction, our two little ones had an absolute blast. From swimming in the pools, to a little tennis on courts, to some air hockey and foosball in the teen room, there was fun everywhere. Not to mention movie night near the pool with smores. Great family fun. Not to mention a beautiful golf course, gym, and other amenities. Great weather in April as well. We will definitely go back... might even look into buying s time share as well.
"A perfect Hideaway in the Desert."
Westin has done a great job here. Its a Hotel and time share. Either way it is worth a stay. The location is just far enough from the hustle and bustle, but with beautiful Desert views. We could not have had a better stay and the staff is excellent.
