"Short business trip"
Hotel is close.to the airport(within 10 minutes). Shuttle.runs 24/7 and leaves every half hour, but for early morning flights you.nees to let the desk know if your travel plans. I initially thought I had to pay$14 a night for parking, but once arrived found I did not. I did not verify, but believe that that charge is for leaving car long term in lot for people flying out. Standard Westin, found to meet.the standards. Front lobby inviting with a restaurant and Starbucks in the lobby.
"Not so great"
Well as an spg platinum I was disappointed. First of all, the hotel is definitely showing it's age. It needs a lot of refurbishing especially since they can charge an exceptional price for these rooms sometimes. The welcome I received was far from friendly. Very scripted and cold. I was not offered an upgrade or anything for my loyalty. Very disappointing. The breakfast staff in the restaurant Saturday morning 2-/18 were exceptionally friendly. I ended up leaving something in my room and had to go back 2/21 and retrieve it. The 1230 to the airport van driver was hilarious and had a wonderful personality wish I had his name!
"Nice hotel- convenient to the airport!"
Friendly staff. Heavenly Bed! The shower shut on/off switch was a little hard to figure out.....pull out the lever and pull up on the shower lever. The hotel was quiet. The bathroom was very small but well-appointed. The robe was a nice touch and finding lavender essential oil to help you sleep was awesome!! Hotel food was above average.
"Fast, Friendly, Top-Notch Customer Service"
My room had a small maintenance issue and after I finished my meeting came up when housekeeping was in my room. I explained the issue and Thelma had immediately contacted Mark at maintenance and they had my issue fixed within 15 minutes. Both were extremely polite and apologetic. Great customer service!
"Nice property near the Airport"
We stayed for 3 nights to explore the Northern Dallas area. The hotel was convenient for the area we wanted. Overall, the hotel was comfortable and safe. Booking through the SPG call center got me a good price for the room on the Executive Floor. Unlike some hotels, this executive floor's only specialty was no children on the floor, which was ok. There was no notice that the pool was being repaired (no pool and construction noise). The room, was okay, it had a king bed, a single sitting room type chair with a side table and a desk chair. One the small side for a king room at this price point. The desk/dresser/fridge were all one unit with different levels. The single small luggage rack was too small for the suitcase we brought and we lost the desk to be able to have the suitcase open. There were a few disappointing things: the first morning, we noticed there was no hair dryer in the room, so I called the desk and they said they would send one right up. I told them we were leaving for a while, so any time during the day would be fine. After returning at 7 pm, there was still no hairdryer, so down to the desk where they could find one, and promised they would have someone bring one right up, and it was delivered within 10 minutes. There were 3 body lotions, a shampoo and a body wash in the shower the first day. The next morning they added a shampoo and a conditioner to the partially used shampoo. The 3rd morning there was another conditioner... odd. Also, the water pressure was extremely low, there were rust stains that streamed off the grab rail in the shower, and the cold water valve in the sink leaked. They have a restaurant and bar. The breakfast buffet was pretty pricey, but they custom make waffles and omelets, but the wait staff wasn't very attentive - very hard to get a coffee or juice refill.
