The Westin Las Vegas Casino & Spa is just one block from the famous Las Vegas “Strip,” offering you easy access to its dizzying array of casinos, dining for all tastes, and pulsing nightlife.
Very good value. Great room. Pool was very nice although pool smaller than expected. I would definitely stay here again.Comment of P. Amarjit , Canada the 2016-04-07
"Hotel smells like SEWER"
Completely unacceptable environment for a business training meeting...and the stench was also in my sleeping room. We had 30 people in our conference that had to endure multiple days of intense sewer smell... The hotel management tried to blame it on "a whole block" of the Las Vegas strip. I walked around the building and the smell was not coming from outside... so the hotel won't even dedicate the proper resources to identify and solve the problem. What a disappointment. Absolutely ridiculous for a Westin branded hotel.
It must be tough, as a non-destination hotel, to compete in Vegas. This is a Westin much like any other, with the heavenly beds, bath products, and furniture you're used to. Location is convenient to the strip, without the tourist foot traffic. Everything is fine, if you're in town for work and want the standard SPG experience you get it here. If you're looking for something more luxurious, look elsewhere.
"Weston Las Vegas"
We reserved 2 rooms for 2 days this last weekend. It started off well, as we requested early check in due to sick baby that needed to be in bed. Gregory at the front desk was amazing going above and beyond to get us in the rooms. Little did we know the heat was out in the entire hotel. When I called down to report I was told that they were working on it and the gave us a $50 credit per room for food to make it up to us. I then called the next day and was told that they did not know when the third party was going to be there to fix it. I was then offered a 1,000 SPG points per room to make up for it. Once again I reminded them of a sick child in the room. Nothing else was offered. When we checked out on Sunday...still no heat, nothing else was offered for our inconvenience. Very disappointed with the Weston hotel and Casino. Also noted sewer smell through out the casino. Not up to Weston standards!
"Some thoughts on the hotel for SPG Members "
Hello Fellow SPG Members, I stayed at the Westin Las Vegas I prefer the more business type hotel usually so I chose the Westin as I have enjoyed many of them which is why I am SPG Platinum, I am also a Marriott Rewards Platinum also for many years at the same time and have been top tier in both brands for years prior to the merger. The only perk you will receive is bonus points or breakfast not both, you have to stay in element brands a lower version of the Westin Brand to get both, Many Westin Hotels that I stay at give me both and that is very nice way to honor loyal brand patrons. The internet is free for everyone so that is not a special perk for you. They impose a Mandatory Resort Fee. There is no concierge lounge, coupons for anything free, or discounted. If you read the reviews on all of the websites from the SPG Members who wrote reviews you will see a literal ton of the Members telling you that the hotel gives a variety of reasons but it looks like they never give upgrades to suites, when I checked in the hotel seemed not to be busy and I arrived after 4:00 PM, The lady said she would give me upgrade to a view of the Ferris Wheel and we all know that not a upgrade, in fact, many people prefer the opposite view. Makes you wonder why this company bothers being a Westin if it doesn't want to do all of the things that all the Westin's do, But I am sure that being part of Westin brings many customers and there money to their door at least once. There is no real reason to stay here other than the points, sad to say, so I will try something different on any future visits. They are working on renovations to the rooms, they are clean and tasteful, the hallway and some of the common areas smell of a strong sewer smell on the way to my room that has been covered up with the trademark white tea scent that Westin use. (In fairness this may be due to renovations.) Many other brands under the new Marriott umbrella including some great all suite properties you might prefer that. What ever you decide I hope this helps! Best Wishes and Happy Travels!
The Westin wasn't our first choice but with this particular weekend being so expensive, the Westin offered one of the best deals. We gave it a try and overall enjoyed our stay. Check in was easy and quick, parking is free, the hotel is nearby other locations of interests. And actually it was nice to getaway from big, smoky casino hotels. The only problem we encountered was the slight smell of weed on our floor. And I don't know why but the elevator and hallway smelled like fart! Lol! I have no clue what that was all about but you can't predict what crowd comes through. Anyhow it didn't affect our room. The room was well stocked like all Westins. Complimentary water is always a plus. We would stay here again.
