The Westin Las Vegas Casino & Spa is just one block from the famous Las Vegas “Strip,” offering you easy access to its dizzying array of casinos, dining for all tastes, and pulsing nightlife.
Very good value. Great room. Pool was very nice although pool smaller than expected. I would definitely stay here again.Comment of P. Amarjit , Canada the 2016-04-07
"Average hotel just off strip"
Arrived at 5pm to be told the King Bed room I booked was not ready, but would I accept an upgrade to a Deluxe high floor view room with two doubles to which I accepted. On entering the room I was underwhelmed, room was basic and average decor with view of car park, no safe also in the room which surprised me. Hotel is around a 10 min stroll to the main strip, hotel casino lacked ambience with few people playing As other guest have commented the air conditioning makes load noises as it kick in or switches off and the doors slam shut when people enter their rooms
"Walking distance from the strip"
We recently stayed here for 5 nights. It was a walk from the strip, a little farther then I had expected but not too bad; it's a great choice when trying to save money on a room in Vegas! Our room was clean and spacious, however parts of the hotel are starting to look a little dated. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful though! They had fruit infused water every day in the lobby which was nice right before you head into the heat. The pool was small but good to just cool off in ... it's on the 2nd floor of the hotel and you could see other attractions on the Strip while sitting and lounging. Parking is free which is always nice as is the 24-hour Starbucks on site. Overall good value for your money.
"It's a Westin, but not like other Westins"
Our company has a great relationship with Starwood, and I absolutely love the Westin brand. I stay at Westins whenever possible on business travel, and when I saw the opportunity to stay at a nice hotel near the conferences without the hassles of mega-resort living I jumped at the chance. I hate to say it, but this Westin has a bit of an identity crisis. They need to decide if they're a nice hotel where you can stay comfortably and quietly or whether they are going to be some party resort like the rest of Vegas. The two don't mesh well together. What I liked: - True to form, the service was excellent. The staff at check in was good, just like I've come to expect from the brand. - The rooms were very comfortable and clean, again up to Westin standards (heavenly bed and all). - This hotel is so much more convenient than the big resorts. Cabs/Ubers were never a problem, there was coffee in the room (yay!), and you don't have to walk 1/2 mile just to get to the front door. What I didn't like: - I stayed off property so that I didn't have to walk through a smoky casino on the way to the elevators, with dealers beckoning me to waste my money at blackjack. What's worse is that the casino is actually a lonely, depressing dump. There was rarely anyone there (probably because it's a Westin, and NOT a casino hotel), which just made it look sad. - I've read the reviews about the noise in the lower floors, and I will confirm that they are correct. I got a room on the 5th floor, and I ended up over the pool. Apparently, this Westin feels the need to have a party pool with music blaring all night despite the fact that no one was out there. It was pointless and disruptive. Under the guidance of their branding teams, I know that there's no chance of taking the noise out of this hotel. But be forewarned... If you're looking for a quiet place to sleep/work/do business, this isn't it. And, if you're looking for a fun, upbeat, classy casino, I'd advise spending a little more and staying in a real resort. Again, I hate writing anything negative about the Westin because the staff works hard to make it pleasant. But, this particular one is just out of character. Happy travels!
"An oasis of peace in a crazy but amazing destination"
Viva Las Vegas a city that is awesome and mad at the same time. I wanted a good hotel, a reasonably priced hotel but a hotel that did not resemble a zoo of mankind. Hotels with Casinos on the strip can and do occasionally resemble a zoo of sorts. The Westin is literally just off the strip, 10 minutes walk and you are at Caesars Palace. The room I stayed in had a king size Westin heavenly bed it was perfect extremely comfortable. The hotel itself has a Starbucks so breakfast was sorted. There is a small Casino with a bar attached, the hotel was full when I checked in but it did not seem that way for me this was the ideal hotel for Las Vegas. If I wanted the madness of Vegas it was only a short walk away.
The Westin is starting to look a bit old, but it does the job for the price that is paid. Located just 2 blocks from the Strip, the Westin is quiet enough at night, but close enough to the action. The beds were a bit too soft and the springs were showing their age with a visible sag in the middle of the bed. The walls are also extremely thin and we could hear people next door as well as above us. But that said, for the price paid, this is ok
